couple of questions

But IAmHawtness on the other hand still wants me to believe that jumping 18 paces crosswise with an edited client wont disconnect you... Which is absurd to me since it never worked giving that it always disconnects me if i jump over than 16 paces..

just pointing something out over here
when { Angelius } said nice trick *****, he meant that you was at invalid coords and you did not get disconnected because you jumped backward to where you was at the first place which will not disconnect you
ex. on x coord you where at 0 and you gone to 18 (which won't disconnect) and you fix it again by jumping backward to for instance 11 and back to 5 then 0 to try new long jump
so what he asked you to do was to do is for instance you are at 0 on x coord, you get to 18 then 36 instead of going back to 0

but in general, all of you are having bots working on conquer online, so why don't you try it (the way { Angelius } asked), get results and end this discussion ?

well that wasn't my point, all im trying to say is "try it this **** way and lets get this over" because i don't think it's about the brightest or smartest, people start forums to help each other and use information posted by others also inreturn they post information too and help each other, instead all what we are actually doing here is showing off

this forum just went from bad to worse
a moderator who is afraid to lose his position or not to do it right so he has no tolerance with others
some ****** private servers which they all claim it's their own source and that it's great however all they do is downloading trinity edits and upload them to a 10 dollar vps
some stupid people trying to release trinity after stupid edits where this release getting edited once more and getting released again over and over with another names
some fairly fine programmers helps from time to time to show off and starting fights whenever possible
and the rest are bunch of idiots trying to do stuff in a ****** trinity edit and begging others to do it for them

that's elitepvpers, was once the greatest conquer online forum around but now it's just ****

Update : I get a DC about every 5th/6th jump with 18 paces. Although there might be a problem with my code, it`s still a work in progress. (Btw, how do you guys debug your injected DLLs? I work with olly to do so but is there a more convenient way?)

I'm pretty sure one of the major reasons that the Conquer Online section of elitepvpers got so **** is because the actual game did when TQ started ruining it by bringing all the new ****** features, classes, and skills.

It's hard debugging an injected DLL. I usually just write debug stuff in the console. How exactly are you disconnecting? What's the error you receive from the game server? Invalid jump or invalid message? If it's invalid jump, I'm pretty sure you're not calculating the distance properly.

no it's us who made it this way, most of us can exploit the hell out of trinity edits until no one use it, we can even raise a poll for not allowing questions and releases for trinity like binary, we can put standards for servers being adv. here
we can create tutorials and help each other
it's us who doesn't want to share knowledge and information not tq

and now who is winning ? that stupid people who are paying 10 usd a month to get back maybe 200 just for selling cps for in game donation ranking ? and what are we getting ? exactly

In that little video of yours you are jumping cornerwise not sidewise for example 210,250 to 426,250 which points to the bottom right corner with a direction of 6 since the Y axis never changed which doesn't prove anything since we all know 18 paces is the max distance for a corner jump and has nothing to do with sideways directions (1-3-5-7).

Why don't you just stop playing games and just admit it you are wrong... because you wont fool me with that bullshit...

16 paces crosswise and it will never disconnect you i guarantee it.

And i would stick to olly for the debugging purpose with a console window like Hawtness stated to print any silly stuff that's not worth the trouble of debugging.

well i kinda take blame for that too as when i explained that i forgot the **** isometric ****
but as of the math, how could he jump 18 crosswise anyway
isn't it sqr(deltaX ^ 2 + deltaY ^ 2) = 18 ?
which is deltaX ^ 2 + deltaY ^ 2 = 324
13 13 is 18.38
13 12 is 17.69
maybe he weren't getting disconnected on 13 12 and you were getting disconnected on 13 13 ?

@i picked the red pill too : I think the values are rounded, so it wouldn`t really matter.

@Hawtness : Invalid message. Doesn`t happen with 16 paces. (That doesn`t mean my calculations can`t be wrong though.)

There you go. The first jump failed, but the next jumps were from:
(361, 347) to (379, 329)

Let me help you a little:
Abs(361 - 379) = 18
Abs(347 - 329) = 18

The correct formula is:
distance = Max(Abs(posX - targetPosY), Abs(posY - targetPosY))

I`m pretty familiar with the formula, I went to the 7th grade as well a few years ago. What I`m not sure about is the rounding, do they use floor/ceil or just round?

How the hell would you round an integer value? You only round floating-point numbers, not integers. I don't think you fully understand the formula after all. That formula takes four integers and outputs an integer. There's no floating-point numbers involved = no rounding to be done.

Oh lol. I haven`t really checked what you actually wrote. I used the Pythagorean theorem. My bad. Let me check something really fast.

Update : Yep, I was trying to jump 19 paces after the ceiling. 18 seems to work after all.

Haha, April Fools' Angelius! We got you really good by lying about the maximum number of spaces you can jump. The entire ePvP section was in on it too. Best joke ever! Truth is you can only jump 14-16 spaces crosswise.
