Imma throw this in and *hope* the itemlock war will end, If you ever played Eudemons, the greatest feature ever is whenever you wanted to pk and/or un-equip gears the system required you to insert your warehouse password.
Yes some ppl will not make any warehouse passwords but it will be just their fault then and red/black named characters will lose their gears as well in case of getting pked.

ArtisanOu and MagicArtisan were both in Co1.

The reborn attribute weapons were in CO1. (poison blade etc).

Ganderma and Titan appeared in CO1 (afaik).

No tortoise gems.

CO1 had no item blessing/enchanting.

CO1 had an NPC named MysicMerchant who appeared in the Market occasionally to sell DBs for 5,000,000 and super gems for 99,999,999.

Co1 had no DisCity.

PK on TC map.

Mets/dbs drop by all mobs (including TC map).

No skill scroll books dropped/learned at low levels. (They needed to be bought at market and used at appropriate level).

NightDevil only available as an extremely rare drop at Polts.

There are a couple of server such as CoRevo where you can instantly get maxed gears and its been around for a year or so. If not a week to get maxed gears then maybe a week to get like +6's or +7's. Players don't want to spend a month getting maxed gears.

Make it like 1,0 100%, no itemlock.
Wil lruin the fun in being red name.
If there is itemlock, nobody will care about pking.
Is much fun when peoples actually can loose gear.
Is a private server, you can get gear back

honestly sky, i think it would provide much cooler if you put gears on a harder to get ratio. that way it's not like: one hour: go black lose gears. next hour: maxed gears again. personally, if you want the original pk system to reinvert, make gears harder to get. not as hard as normal conquer, but somewhat near it. makes you feel more accomplished upon killing a red name when he drops +6 sup gears, which you don't have -- instead of you already having +12 gears, and he just drops his.

what i recall most about co (pre-itemlock) is seeing a 130 tro full sup +4-6 1/2 soc sdg sdg (mostly) and seeing another 130 tro own her, then her drop some of those (what i would call legit as a nub) that i grabbed and made a good 4k cps off of them.

seeing that not only the dude who killed the red/black name gets gears, its more like whoever gets them gets them.

just think about it. original pk system was based off the fact of no itemlock, fun, and pkers actually having to have ***** to black name.
