Source Choice (Solo) /w Reborn

Hello everyone, recently I have got the urge to play some CO.

I have never got the the point where I could reborn on any server I ever played mostly because I quick from being pked relentlessly before I could make it that far.

Thus I have decided to make my own server for solo play so I can experience getting reborn for the first time.

Now I have tried two different sources: Albertros and ProjectX V3.2
I prefer to have the latest version as I want a genuine experience of the latest features as I reborn.
The only issue is that both those sources do not have a working reborn system.

I have tried googling for 2 days now to try and find the latest server files with a working reborn, with absolutely no luck.

So my question is; What is the latest server files/source that has a working reborn system in it that is closest to retail?

Let me ask you this question, You're looking to reborn on the latest patch yes? If so then you can go for hellmouth source I assume.. If you don't mind the patch then I'd suggest you going with a bin or something for the complete 2nd reborn quest and drop rates and stuff, I doubt anyone completed it on a C# source.

Hmm the last reply was in 2012 so I do not want to necro the thread but all the links are dead for hellmouth.

On a side note, yes I want the latest source with a working Reborn system. Since its for solo play, I do not need anything that has to do with multiplayer working. IE; arena, guild, team, etc.

If no luck with hellmouth, Sadly you'd need to go for a trinity source.

Latest patches are seriously messed up. In terms of development, stay away as there aren't any good ones.
If you wanna screw around and can actually get one working, go ahead I guess. But I wouldn't bother touching a line of code.

If you want to do a little of both, then Albetros or Project X are your best bets. If I recall correctly, Albetros didn't have a reborn system.
If you did go with Albetros, I suppose I could release the 1st reborn NPC that I created for it. But it is far from elegant or efficient, and could definitely be re-written alot better.
However it does work. Probably requires some extra code in the database section though.

On a lower patch like 5065 though. Redux has first reborn completed.

Why not write your own reborn system ? All you need to do is:

- Downgrade gears;
- Downgrade level;
- Add and remove skills;
- Save the reborn combination.

Well for one because I just want to setup & play around quickly.
And for two, I have no idea whatsoever how to do that.
Maybe in the future I can devote some time learning to code, but for now I just want to fool around a bit by myself in the game.

Also I have ADHD and OCD, so I'll probably get bored and quit before ever completing a reborn system because i need everything to look perfect and it never will be, then i'll get depressed etc etc etc. (i'd make a crappy programer xD) In other words, I'd never get to actually PLAYING before I'd quit.

@Aceking : I am gonna try this hellmouth and if i am not happy with it then i may ask kindly for that reborn thing for Albetros

@Execution! : I first used fang's thread to look at the sources for the latest patch. (THE latest patch source is closed source, then its the 2 i tried according to the thread)

EDIT: I can not seem to find the reborn NPC in hellmouth, where is it located? also there are no mobs and most of the npcs do not work :/

Closest to retail would be , this has first reborn done, however it is a low patch compared to retail's current patch.

Then you got Trinity's messed up source, if you are just going to mess around in it, it should be fine but keep in mind that the current community will hardly provide any help for that source. Plus you won't find it on elitepvpers.

If you don't want to struggle for something, then you're in the wrong section. There aren't many developers for Conquer Online private servers. The content you see here is a result of just a few normal people struggling to learn something new. If you don't even want to struggle to set up a source, then I'm sorry - hosting a Conquer Online private server is not for you.

was never going to host one for other people...as I said...it was just something for me to play around with. If I actually intended on making an actual server to actually host so people actually play on it....then yeah I'd make with the struggling and do it like crazy. But this was just one of those urges to play without being pked continually. I just assumed there was more available since I have seen a LOT of servers up and running with pretty much everything completed, and updated to the latest or near latest patch. However I have realized that those people really never made with the sharing.

Anyways I am playing a pserver now and hoping I do not make with the "being dead" too much. This topic can be closed. Thanks again everyone.

Supporting a private server is the next best thing then. I'm glad you found something. Good luck in the future if you ever wish to struggle a bit with us.
