I'm already member for a long time on the forums, and i think this will be one of my first posts here.
I'm active in the Conquer Private server Scene for years now, and figuring out most of the things my self, but now i need some help making a decision.
I heard about the new Maps TQ created in their last patch:
Actually, i like the maps very well.
How should it be to put this maps into my own client? For my own server? It should be possible, right?
Well, would like to hear what you guys think about it.
Yeah, it's possible. Just copy the maps over to the server and client, and bingo. Problem is, those maps... as beautiful as they are... are heavily flawed. The data map files are completely dead, leaving literally nothing with terrain feedback and environment feedback. They're completely dead, and I won't be switching to the new maps until they fix the design or I fix it myself.
Well i will try them out ^^, in my server i got .map files. Which files are the .map files in my client? i mean, which files do i need to copy in my server?

I'm assuming from what you just told me that you're using a trinity based source, in which case you'll have to ask the programmer that source was stolen from, or have someone read it for you. I don't have the source out in front of me, but from what I remember about that map system, it converts dmaps automatically to the smaller sized extension. You place the client's map folder or the contents of that folder somewhere. Someone with the source will have to tell you the correct path.
Thanks for your answer, i will take a look at it, if i find something that will help.. i will create a new thread with a little 'guide'.
But you mean the 'map' folder in the root directory of Conquer?
And could this 'server map' thingie cause the problem of a black screen in Twin City ^^? I don't see anything anymore.
Right, the map folder contains all of the dmap and scene structures, perfect for the server. As far as the client goes, you'll also need to transfer the newer client's map textures and puzzle configuration files. Simply apply the newer patches to an empty folder and copy things over (mostly everything except the Conquer.exe file).
copy ur map/map folder and just put it in database folder
and check this
Don't forget the scene folder. I hope I was accurate with that post from the other thread... I'm still just assuming what I'm saying is correct since nobody is correcting me. It's been a very long time.
i have successfully added the maps to my server, except the twincity its missedup, the all map thats missed up is the twincity city, thats weird
Same to that problem. I think it's because of the hidden newplain folder. because as I look all the ani files in the patch they also included newplain which is new is 1-newplain.
Well, i got it right now... but i still think they used another ID for the new Twin City map! Will take a look at the GameMap.Dat now... if i find out something, i will update you.
They put the new thing in: n-newplain.7z < Also the .Dmap file is in there..
If you extract it, you can walk around on the new map, and everyting works fine, you only need to replace your NPC's because the coordinates were changed
It looks like TQ didn't made their region file fully done....
I can't get everywhere on the maps... Or is this another problem?

yeah he will need maps folder empty. (most public sources)
and the hole map folder from client (dmap and scenes)
but some scenes are missing so it may give ur an error
Well, i got everything working.
All maps except the Bird Island map, because the bridges will teleport me back to one spot everytime ;p...
Everything else is working fine now Replaced the NPC's to their spots. And replaced my portals
