That's because you shouldn't be running play.exe

Oh, yeah that, Don't run play.exe, Download a loader, and open the loader's .ini file and modify the IP to your game's IP (hamachi's-VPS-localhost) and server name.

from here you can download the loaders, keep reading that thread you will see where the loaders are,

download the latest one put in client and add your ip ports,

tip (start making the server on hamachi since the ports will be open for you,)

watch few vidoes how to setup server and you will get your answers, there is many guides.

start with appserv not full version MySQL (NOTE full version MySQL is the best appserv is just for testing and learning how to make server)

some times people don't know how to setup MySQL so appserv is very easy. and when you watch the videos you will see people using MySQL so go watch
