Its blowfish + a DH-Key exchange for all I know.
Some say it's complicated, others say it's not what it's cracked up to be. I really don't know.
Chances of you getting it though: Slim to none.

What's good about having a client 5017+? You'd be able to run a server using the official client/ patch. The encryption is the login packet, which is encrypted with the dh key exchange, to make a proxy/ private server, you have to decrypt it to login. That's basically all, without details.

Not that any of the new content compares with the CO1 days.

Oh darn, forgot about that one. Do you want to find me the place in asm where it keeps waiting for the handshake packet? (Or whatever kept it hanging before, lol) That way I could just disable the encryption fully and go on from there. xD

That'd be epic, other than the fact that it'd kind of be weird to use it.
If you do use it for a new public server, every server could upgrade to the new client, using your client. And the fact that you'd have to disable the handshake for every new patch you upgrade to
If you use it for yourself... uhhh... why? It'd just be a private server on localhost; I guess if you want to "play with yourself" its okay

I don't know either.
Reasons could be:
1)People are selfish,
2)They are just plain ******** ,
3)They feel we should do it ourselves to learn,
4)They don't think we should have it because we're noobs.

I don't know either.

Or it could just be that people are lazy bastards. You've already been told it's Blowfish + DH exchange, but you've probably made no, or little effort to actually try and implement it. In the end, you're all just after one of us "selfish plain assholes" to do the damn thing for you, hypocritical bastard. There's really nothing else you need to know, other than the initial blowfish key, and anyone with 5 minutes experience debugging software could find that.
You're not going to learn shit by having someone else do it for you. There's no point in me writing passages of text describing the two algorithms when they're already widely avaliable if you know how to use a bloody search engine.
So yeah, the reason I don't give it to people, is because I dislike people who can't think for themselves. The people with any form of intelligence here are more than capable of doing it themselves, and I don't mind helping those. I'm not going to help anyone who hasn't even attempted a fucking thing.

RF CM encryption??
05/20/2008 - RF Online - 5 Replies
I was playing a little with WPE and now it seems all packets are ciphered, cause for example, when you throw away an item you could recognise a pattern, but now all i can see are random bytes in the throw away packets. Could it be cause of the last patch that CM has applied? Has anyone experienced this?
Sorry pls move this thread to the other forum

steam bruter
no-recoil hack fuer cs
ein steam bruter gab es soweit ich weiß noch nicht und koennte sich als sehr nuetzlich erweisen natuerlich sollte er interface unabhaengig sein und rein auf packet basis arbeiten
keke wireshark angeschmissen...
