ok first off, iv been mining for months now, and from how i mine i tell you

ok you mine, and you think moving spots is beter when ur getting ores, well i tell you, your wrong, staying in one spot is the best thing to do

now lets say ur mining in this spot and your getting mad iron, gold, and copper, then all of sudden it stops like your getting barly anything, but dont move! if you just stay there you will get a gem, trust me, iv mined so much

from doing this, i can get like at least 5-9 gems a day, sometimes a super, but every day or other day i do get at least 1 or 2 refined gems, and best place to mine is pc, and if you want to mine where u dont get pked, go take ur guy in the mine, and put it in the middle ish somewhere, and then take ur other guiy, and try to find were u are, and if u sorta cant find were the other miner is thats a good things, means chances of getting pked is low witch is good

also another tip, have a water tao logged where ur mining so when u get pked u can log on and rev ur guys

iv mined 1 super dragon, and 3 super nixs doing this way, and the last super gem i mined was the other day so this is a good guide, dont beleave people saying moving is beter, try my way and if u start geting gems then booo yea it works so give it a shot, i garentee gems for you

Anyways... the best i've ever mined was a refine kyln gem in pc mine caves, but that's before i used cotobo... got lots of refine nix... but then when i finally figured out how to use cotobo...it got "fixed".... what a shame... but yea +1 K cause it's kinda true... when you bairley get anything, you get gems...for some odd reason...

Why do you act like everyone says moving is better? Every mining tip I've read anywhere says the same things you've said, to mine in one spot.

The reason every mine tip posted says to stay in one spot is because the people who move around dont have the patience to post. So the ones that do have the patience do post. Im still not sure which method works best. I suspect they may be equal.

I have 10 miners in my server that i do not want to tell.
I do not like to write my tips but since you are writing down some wrong info.. I am going to tell you something.
Mining at one spot is very good because gems do hide under the ores. You must collect all the ores than one or two gems might be at ur spot (1 by 1 space). However, when you are there for 10 hours.. (sleeping) the spot will be empty.. and you will get nothing. the ores regenerate too slow unless u auto log, or maintans. That is why most people think one spot is very good but the actual truth is that maint or auto log will allow some time for Co to generate minerals at ur spot. I have been mining for 5 months now and collected countless super gems. Move every 5 hours or so is best idea. Please share this knowledge with many newbs.. I hope I stated my opinion and knowledge clearly. Nothing personal.

yeah agir is right stay long at one point and like after 5 hours if u didnt get nothing just move some steps around and try again

Actually agir, I disagree. Not totally, but dont move 5 hours. I have stayed in one spot for a whole 48 hours without D/Cing once. I got 2 super nix's, 1 ref draggy, ref rain and about 5 normal gems. The gems dont run out after 10 hours because I can get gems for days without moving.

More tips for mining, Yes PC seems to be the best. Has gems that everyone wants, only need to be lev 40 to get in, has multiple floors for hiding from pk'ers (Except the real hardcore ones) and any trash gems you can use for the blue mouse quest.

- Mining near a wall/object really has no difference in your mining chances. People have said to me "But why is the pile of dirt/mining cart/random object there?" Me: "Ummm... To make it look like youre in a mine?"

Anyhoo, being right on a wall actually hinders your because you cant drop as many ores. I suggest standing so you have a 3x3 square around you, because thats the space you need to drop all the ores you can without moving.

-Gem spots= Ok these are so ridiculous, but to each their own. I have mined in so called "gem spots" and gotten nothing, then moved to a random spot and gotten a gem. Getting a gem is basically = The client sends packet saying you hit with your pickaxe, the server sends back a random packet saying if you got nothing/ore/gem. The server deals with it.

-Grouping up. Good or bad? Well, Sometimes in PC I have sat next to or had someone mine next to me. Generally I find if the person isnt afk, they might act afk and wait and try to pk you. But in TC mine, clustering is generally good to make the occasional pk'er avoid you, but the black named mine pk'ers that do it for fun wont care. It will make an easier target for pervade/FC/any other AoE attack they use.

-ALWAYS! ALWAYS! ALWAYS have a scroll to the nearest town with you! If you see a black name coming and have a gem/s use it! Most black name mine pk'ers are reborn and will get their guard out.

If I can think of more, I'll add it later. Most of that stuff is pretty basic though.

I agree to an extent that mining in one spot helps, only because moving a spot makes you reset your ore count, you have to get a whole bunch of ores before it slows downs and starts giving you 1 ore every few minutes.. Other than that, mining is still pretty much based on luck because I have gotten gems within 3 seconds of mining. HAPPY MINING ;D

I always keep a scroll on my miners too but a better way is to use Esc key + space bar which will just dc you, then you can wait 20 seconds or so and log back in and wahlah the pker is gone and you saved yourself the trouble of having to hop all the way back to the mine...

Don't worry about the pker still being there when you log back in, pkers are very impatient so if you disappear they'll just search out someone else.


Edit: Obviously if you have valuable gems on you, you'll want to just scroll in and bank them in your warehouse.

WirlWind just use cotobo and u wont have those problems with pkers.. i think its always the same if u dc or scroll to town

I can take your tip and say that I get the same amount of gems, but I move my miners every 30 min or so. My theory is that gems and ores are completely separate. The rate of ores only depends on the time you've been at a spot and when you get a gem is random depending on the pick strike.

I've gotten gems on the first hit, I've gotten 5 or 6 after 7 hours in one spot, I've gotten 0 after 10 hours in one spot. They do come in clumps sometimes, so quite possibly the server every so often generates a new "luck" number and until the next interval, your chances of getting a gem are higher/lower. I think this might apply to other things too, like finding +1s or getting a soc item. That's why sometimes people can use 1000 mets and not get a soc, while others get 2 soc within 10s of mets.

Ive mined for my 2 years on co, thousands of gems. I know for a fact that moving, mines me more gems than sitting still.

I "Rotate" My miners every few hours. Ive mine in the past month, 5 srgs, 3 sdgs a super nix and countless super violets and moons.

Thats with 2 miners.
