A lot of this makes sense, you also put a lot of effort into it.
I believe the more empty a map is, the more luck increases is true, as I found 2 supers in less than 20 minutes at a Ape drop, just after maintenance when it was dead, Good job! +1 karma.

When one has decided that he is going to create a socket, he must think, is he willing to risk the amount of effort he put into gathering those meteors/dragonballs/moonboxes? It is said to be a belief, Conquer does not have a random generator, Random is when one can stand over the upgrading machine for hours, using over 2500+ and not get one single socket, as his friend has used 25, and gotten one. I have no belief that ANYONE has done that EVER, The average chance is between 400, why are things so usual? Has tq created a system that decides if one "deserves" to be granted with the rare item of his desire? If one plays with the belief that he will never get what he truly desires, How is this man ever too retrieve his desire? And if one plays with the belief he is always going to get what he truly desires, how can this man ever satisfy himself?
Satisfaction is never consistant, it lasts for a certain period of time and then can be spoiled in even a matter of secounds.

Very nice work on the topic. If I may add something, there is also an "invisible" mining statistic. Every time you swing your pickaxe in CO, the server sends you a packet. In this packet there is a number. When you start mining, this numer is around 100. As you mine, the number starts to drop. The lower the number gets, the slower it drops. If you move (or do anything else for that matter) the number is reset to something around 100 again. Many people believe that returning to the same spot to mine improves your chances and maybe this is the case. Perhaps the mining counter starts at a lower number when you have "your spot."
Also, the theory of having the "randomness" based on time is very believable. For all of you programmers out there, think about this: Randomize(Timer). This little function was built into VB and set the random seed for the random number generator. But, what if the CO programmers didnt use the exact time, but only the minute or hour and minute and second? And perhaps they were foolish and used Randomize for every single random number generation. This would reset the generators to the same place for everyone if they performed an action at the same time. It's just a theory, but it makes sense.

Its Randomize(Ticks) - but they prolly did Randomize(null) - which makes the time-based things more probable
and ticks are different each time, but hell, whatever tickles ur pickle ;P

hmm have you ever noticed how things seem to drop when other players come near where you are? Like usually, I can be in met zone, or ac, and mets will only drop when someone comes onto my screen. I think TQ has a taste for discourse, and does this to mix things up a little with the two players :P Maybe, the one who killed the monster that dropped it will get mad when the other player loots it, and he goes red named killing him over and over...and then, he loses his stuff, and then tq gets more money from dbs being sold so he can get his equip back again. I don't know, but I do know that I seem to be much luckier when other people suddenly appear on my screen.

I heard there is a luck factor for every character, on chinese servers it is being increased by 30pct when you are 2nd reborn.
Nice article, #pinned.

Thats a skill. When u rb twice and stand still for a long time your luck isincreased by x amount(I forgot) for however long u was standing.
Also I noticed after maintaince when I'm always the first person in the mine and I get a way faster than usual when that happens

I agree with at least one thing...if you stay in one spot for a long time hunting, you definetely start to find more, eg. The monsters that spawn have more, no matter who kills them until you leave...
I went to lab4, everything started out ******, then after a few hours in the same spawn, I got 3 +1s, 7 mets, 1 db, and a super sceptre (bah).

Also may be a counter that keeps track of what u have earned so far; this was tested by my bro and me: u start hunting and when u get a met your chances of getting +1s or elite increase but takes time, and if u just d/c and come back is much probable that u will get another met faster than if u keep killing without d/c.
Since days i have been hunting like crazy and not even 1 +1 >.<, and today i was lvling on rock monsters in dc and got a super tao robe and a db from apes( a guildie got a super armor too the same day).

All i can say is LOL,LMAO,ROFL . Alber Einstein(the guy who started this post) is saying that if you open 10 Moonbox then the chances to get a socet are much higher than if you would open 1 Moonbox. Oh yeah you said meteor zone mets wont work on a coronet? Well dodge this: 1 day ago i used one meteor from met zone to upgrade my lvl 97 super coro to 112 with only one met , then a db to upgrade it to 120 in market . Alber Einstein (the guy who started this post not the RL one) you made the most idiotik theory ever . PS i dont make typos . all the typos and spelling mistakes grammar mistakes and so on were planned and calculated to suit perfectly into this quick reply.
karma -1 for the stupid theory .

TS2 GM commands and theories
09/02/2021 - 12Sky2 - 18 Replies
GM mode is activated by switching the flag to on that flag is two lines under and 8 bytes in under your password.
The command list:
/out - no clue what it does
/end - server or event stop
/start - server or event start
/ready - no clue
/rename - assumed character rename
/res - res in the same spot or res a character, I know in TS1 it was not possible to resurrect in GM mode this is most likely a fix to that.
/znotice - zone notice

Theories... Too Many of them
04/22/2006 - Conquer Online 2 - 4 Replies
There are way too many theories floating around the conquer community.
Alot of them aren't even based on any sort of fact or even an educated guess.
Before you post a theory, you should always test it out first instead of being the reason alot of new players go looking for a pot of gold under a rainbow.
I'm not trying to be rude, I would just like to see alot less people pointing others in the wrong direction based on little to no knowledge about what the reasoning would be, behind the...
