In trying to understand this, I first define Random: Being a pattern too large-scale or complex to predict..This works for everything (outside of conquer too). So it is very possible, if not fact that TQ used the clock to randomise events. Maybe in the seconds column or even miliseconds, since using hours would be too easy for people to catch on to.
Second, with item drops. There is definitely a psychological factor to this. It is called the phenomenom of coincidence. If youve worked at a supermarket check-out, you may have noticed people never come in a smooth flow, but instead in torrents/waves like 10 may come in the next 10 mins, but the next hour no one..I believe this is because we remember what we find interesting. If this phenomenom for instance didnt happen, there would still be countless other coincidental events for us to think about. This is just a portion of the "one pattern", in which is subdivided into illogical understandings.
Buddha knew this. As do many philosophers who study metaphysics.
I dont think coincidental drops happen by some surreal superstition, but rather this superstition happens because people arent yet fit to understand the truth.
And just cause im anti-religious, I add this final part out of spite.
It is a superstition, spawned by peoples willingness to believe in an optimistic death and their unwillingness to accept theyre simply not smart-enough to understand the truth. Why do some religions need sacrements(drugs) to commune with the gods? How can there be more than one religion that is correct, when they each contradict each other? Who created ***? And if there is a heaven, why dont we all commit suicide? If there is a hell inside the earth, why cant we scientifically detect it? If we do have souls, why can a dog's head function with an artificial bloodflow(search youtube for biological experiments)? So there :P, if millions of people worldwide can be wrong about a 2000 year old superstition, could people playing CO also be wrong, or more accurately, have a willingness to believe in optimistic fiction?

Soz for the long post, but anything worth explaining, is worth the detail.

1 theory that seems to work is the number of people in a map. In about 20 mins by minimacaques when there wasnt any people at the elf ape or slow ape spawns i got a met and a +1 ape coat. Hardly conclusive evience i agree but it seems to work.

im gonna try all the others some time +K

VERY objectively written, very nice. I'm still unsure of the theory that each met has its own "potential" as funny as it sounds (creepy too). However I don't deny it either just maybe another way to explain it.
To back your arguments up let's talk about squama a bit here. Me and a team of my friends hold a complete squama monopoly in our server and we have a gut feeling that the supposed random generator of Conquer is not quite...so random just like what you said. In fact it is common that we get mets right after one another (being in the same room we can see that) or that occasionally one would hit a 10k while the other get a met in 1/2 second interval. Sometimes a DB but it seems DB is usually separate from the other prizes. Its as if there's a real fast spinning wheel behind it all. Again all this is "likely" what happened, in no way exact. Hope these facts get u a better understanding of what might work to help u have a higher chance of getting whatever u want

one day i was hunting with my archer. i had 4000 kills and got 2 mets at bandits.

If someone is lazy, and they have to decide between writing ten lines of code and a hundred, what would they do?

That's right! They'd create a random(double low, double high) function. Ten lines. Can be re-used with a single-line call whenever they want. They wouldn't do all this stupid **** you say they do.

I have not read the full thread for i dont have the time but i would like to add i think you weapon lvl and status my have something to do with the drop rate of mets and dbs i could be wrong and it could go back to the multi kill that was mentioned but when hunting with an unique pole axe 2 lvl sets to low for me i found 2 db and 7 mets in a 3hour span...just a thought

Well, there was 3 of us at the SlowApe spawn killing them, I got 3 mets within 20 mins but no refs. But before the other 2 turned up I was only getting ref's and didn't get 1 met for like 700 kills.

Sorry if someone has already said this but, when I take a long break from conquer, then come back, and go kill monsters, I ALWAYS get sooo much goodies. Recentley when i just came back from a break on my archers, I went to ElfApes and got 2 dbs in one hour.

EDIT: On the last part of the theories guide, you say you can't upgrade anything close to level 70? Well I got 21 mets and i upgraded a elite level 97 bag>112, and a level 97 tao cap to 112 also.

But then again, recently there were two meteor tears out there, one with amount:100 and amount:1.

yes!!!!,all what u say hav sence.For example I noticed that,when I spend mets trying to get socket,and if i spend....................lets say about 40-50,and if I faild,after that,i go to hunt(with my archer),and allways I mean allways,there are alot of good items.So....I stand behind this theory.

There are way too many theories floating around the conquer community. Alot of them aren't even based on any sort of fact or even an educated guess. Before you post a theory, you should always test it out first instead of being the reason alot of new players go looking for a pot of gold under a rainbow. I'm not trying to be rude, I would just like to see alot less people pointing others in the wrong direction based on little to no knowledge about what the reasoning would be, behind the...
