a1blaster, I modified your .bat program to show the changed/restored status of effects.

You said suggestions are welcome. You ar free to copy the contents of the .bat file in your program, to show 3D effect status.

My files are attached. Just put everything in the ini folder and run CO_Effect_removal.bat -JUST make sure your 3D effects are restored when you first use this program.

Keep you programs up to date - gives us more options

I'm fine thank you.
About effects removal, you might of had your effects turned off when you reinstalled coquer. So the 3DEffects.ini and 3DSimpleObj.ini files might have been switched. Now when you try to use the the tool it is just switching the original files not the edited ones. You can check this by using windows explorer. Open open up the ini folder, look at 3DEffects.ini and 3DEffects1.ini, there modified dates should be different. Same for the 3DSimpleObj.ini and 3DSimpleObj1.ini files. The dates shuold be 11/17/2006 for original files and 12/14/2006 for the edited ones.

If you just downloaded Version#2 of the tool, I found that I included the wrong file names in the ini folder. Some how I put .ini. files without the 1 at the end. So you just over wrote the originals. SORRY. hps: I'll repost with V2.1. In there you'll find a zip file with original .ini files, put those in your ini folder first, then reinstal my tool. This will over write everything and hopefully get it working again. That should take care of it.

This might take a day or two. I can't get into my opening thread starter post to edit it. I'm getting error when I try. It's because I used a SIZE command in the QUOTES, it screws up editing the post after that. I'll PM DM2000 to see if they can fix this, this same thing happen to me on my ItemType.dat thread. I'll post new version2.1 in thread though so you can get it.

The error I'm seeing (The system cannot find the file specified.) tells me you didn't put the ini folder in your Conquer2.0 folder and it can't find the oringinal unedited 3DEffects.ini and 3DSimpleObj.ini files that it is looking for. Just make sure you place the edited 3DEffect1.ini, 3DSimpleObj1.ini, _3DEffect_original and Effects_Removal.bat in your Conquer2.0&#092;ini folder.

Yes press any key and close it.
You have to run it each time you want to change effects.

a1blaster i don't no how but i didn't run the bat. but when i runed the co client and opened the game the 3d effects were gone. i thought i must have run the bat by accident. But when i runned the bat again and opened the client the 3d effects were still disabled. i runned the bat and opened the game for several times but each time the effects were not there. Any idea why it is like that?

But lol without the effects it is really good really less lag. but i would like to see the effects again lol.
