by LAN ip wot one is that because my m8's cannot connect still ???

but people connected to my router can connet (just to say i'm not the defult pc. and i got 2 ip's router one and my personal computer one witch is the wotsmyipadress.com one )

i'm just wondering why my m8's can't connect if i have got the correct ip ???

thanks i'll have a look about the npc bit could you tell me wot i got to look for ?

k i think i found the NPC part but how can i understand this ???

how can i add a package to add an NPC to the server ?

If you want others to be able to connect to your pc with your ip adress (e.g. 212.121.13.104) than you should
first open all the ports at your router, check your firewall settings if all ports are open, and last but not least, check if you really got the right ISP adress. You can easily find that out by opening the dos command prompt and type in ipconfig /all (Sorry for going into such detail, i dont know how far your knowledge goes when it's coming to routers, networking, firewalls and all that stuff.) This page might come in handy to you.

hehe yep, u just need to forward the gameserver/loginserver/authserver ports so others could connect to u'r server.

P.S. Hybris> i see that u'r online but i dont have much time for this project. So maybe tomm or latter we will talk about items and npcs, i will format my pc, install vs 2005 and we will see what we can do for this...

k i don't the port thing but now when i try log in the server program thing the log in thing stays up it don't come up the connetions with the listen buttong wot i do ? restart the progect again to just refresh everything?

can you help me with adding NPCs ? because that packets are just ramdom how do you add packets

because there just numbers ...?

if i learn NPC mosters and items would probly be esay from me as i learn fast when i'm told and if i learn to read the packets and add then e.c.t

i could work out items and other stuff

ok this is ******* me right off i've done everything everyone has said and some thing of my own

but my mates still can not connect

i know it's somehting set wrong
but i don't know wot

could someone e-mail or add me and send me screenshots of the sort of thing's i need to do to get my server so my mates can connect plz

plz i realy like to get a server for me and my mates and this pgadmin thing it ramdom and confusting so plz help

and for the ip just put like 192.168.*.* because i need to know if i'm useing the right ip in the right places

and where to add my ip so plz could some one send me screen shots of the setting

e.g the pg_hyi.conf or somthing file setting and the

make new server seeting
i just like to know wot sort of stuff to enter because in makeing a new server i put localhost and i think thats wrong one but when i put my ip i get an error

my m8s get the errer - "cannot connect because of server matinace or internet coruptiuon" they say (somthing like that)

ok, darkaaron, every post ive seen on here, your saying your using 192.168.*.* first off, thats not the right ip, thats called your lan ip, youw ant your public ip, go to , and use that ipaddress it has on there, put that ip in your source code, and give that ip to your friends to use. And also, to everyone begging for us to do everything for them on commands and npc, this source code as tehn00bzor said is not for people who dont understand c#. He said its there for people who knwo what their doing to learn off of, and not just someone wanting to be like, yo, i got a server bish. If your looking to run a full server, your looking in the wrong place.

server table on pgadmin is there any where else? i got to add it

read the posts... but u just have to change it in the backend.cs file i believe.. someone correct me if im wrong i havent messed with this in a couple weeks, and dont forget to use ur public IP not ur Lan one like Robsta said..

rahxephon08> yep u can add u'r ip in "BackEndDB.cs" where the program is checking if in the Server table is added u'r IP if no it uses the ip wich is given in that "BackEndDB.cs" file at the "return "129.101.89.126";" line. So u can enter there u'r Ip or simple enter in the PostgreSQL at Server table. Read the Guide for more details. =]
