You can use free firmware for COD, as it currently has no DMA checks. If you want an extra layer of security, you can purchase basic firmware from reputable providers for around $50. However, 99% of providers claiming their firmware is 1:1 are actually selling mass-pooled firmware shared across batches of customers. Personally, I recommend making your own basic firmware, as it will genuinely be 1:1 and is relatively easy to do.
Your parts will depend largely on how much you're willing to spend on shipping. I recommend buying from AliExpress, where parts are typically 30-50% cheaper despite being the exact same products sold by providers like Captain, Ducks, Mavis, etc. These providers simply rebrand the hardware with their own logos and sell it at a premium.
Convenience is another factor to consider. If you don't mind paying more for a reseller's bundle rather than sourcing each individual part yourself on AliExpress, that may be the better option for you.

No, they currently don't.
Play as you would with any other cheat, don't make it obvious.
Don't track players through walls, don't shoot through walls, don't use overly aggressive aimbot settings, don't use skin unlockers, etc.
If you're using read-only functions, they shouldn't be able to see that you're cheating unless your playstyle gives it away.

To ensure safety, I suggest warming up your account by playing without cheats for several weeks. Once established, introduce radar for an additional week. Reserve ESP usage for when it is truly needed. For simplicity, begin with low-range settings (10m–30m) and enable the 'visible only' filter.
EDIT: I asked my LLM for advice on avoiding detection when playing. I don't agree with half of it and won't be following most of these rules, but some are worth considering. I'll be taking a few of them into account on my next run. Thought I'd share it in case it helps anyone else.
Play Like a Normal Human: Don’t aim for high K/D ratios. Aim for average or slightly above average. If your account suddenly jumps from 0.8 K/D to 3.5 K/D, you stand out.
Vary Your Loadouts: Use different weapons and attachments. Cheaters often stick to one meta weapon with max sensitivity. Rotate through different guns (SMGs, ARs, Snipers) as a normal player would.
Play Different Modes: Don’t just play Warzone or MP. Play Zombies, Gunfight, or even lower-ranked playlists. This makes your account look like a casual gamer rather than someone grinding specifically to boost their stats before cheating.
Keep Sensitivity Low/Medium: If you suddenly start tracking perfectly with high sensitivity after weeks of low-sensitivity play, it looks suspicious. Keep your mouse/trackpad settings consistent.
Invest in an Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller & Fine-Tune It: If your aim is letting you down, I'd seriously recommend investing in one of these. I used to struggle with my aim until I switched to the Elite Series 2. I spent weeks experimenting with stick sensitivity, response curves and deadzones until I found a setup that worked for me. The improvement in my accuracy and overall control was noticeable, to the point where I no longer felt the need for aimbot. It's not a magic fix, and there's a learning curve, but a properly configured controller can make a real difference. Definitely worth considering if you're serious about improving your gameplay.

Avoid "Perfect" Stats: Don’t aim for a K/D above 2.0–2.5 consistently. If you’re getting 10+ kills in a row, take a break or play more conservatively.
Don't Cheat in High-Ranked Playlists: Start with Bronze/Silver/Gold playlists. Cheating in Platinum/Diamond is where most bans happen because the competition is tighter and players are more observant.
Use a Clean PC/Laptop: Ensure your computer doesn’t have flagged hardware. To be safe, build a new PC and only reuse the GPU & Ram.
5. What to Avoid
Sudden Stat Spikes: If your K/D jumps from 1.0 to 4.0 overnight, you’re likely flagged.
Consistent Headshot Percentage: Humans don’t always hit headshots. Aim for a mix of body and head shots.
Playing at the Same Time Every Day: Vary your play times. Cheaters often grind at specific hours to maximize their "warm-up" period.
If you feel like you’re playing too well or getting flagged by other players (e.g., they start suspecting you), back off. Play more conservatively for a few days before introducing new features.
