Do you think we will need paid firmware for mw4? Someone said acti plan to tackle dma soon
People have been saying Activision is coming for DMA since MW2, lol.
When or if they do, I doubt they'll approach it like EAC or VGK. They'll more likely take a similar approach to Javelin and block the firmware rather than ban the user.

Hello,
here is the post from the head of Ricochet this week. They did an AMA on Reddit.
If they actually do manage to cook something up then I would assume free firmware will be the first to go, however its way too early to speculate on what their plans are. They could simply do rate limits like Javelin Anti-Cheat does.

I saw that. It’s really no different from what they were saying last year during their Developer Campfire stream when they introduced the TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements.
They’re still taking the same lazy, generalized blanket approach to enforcement. “We’ll require TPM and Secure Boot, and that’ll stop internal and external cheaters” has simply become “we’ll require IOMMU, and that’ll stop DMA cheaters.”
Like you said, it’ll probably be effective at shutting out people using free/public firmware, but it’s pretty clear they don’t have a meaningful strategy for dealing with firmware that continues to evolve and adapt.
I suspect it’ll be another 3–5 years, if ever, before we see anything that has a significant impact on DMA users.
Don't really get why so many people ask this. Why would you want to be the first people banned once they start scanning for DMA?
Iv'e just updated my firmware!

Your playstyle
Write features within the cheat you used
A flagged account
An bad existing spoof
An application running on your main PC
A lack of trust factor settings, such as DBL or Memory Integrity being disabled, among others
You could've simply been incredibly unlucky and gotten report-spammed.
Bad MAKCU firmware
Thanks for the reply brother, I’ll reply to your points!
I closet cheat and mostly stack opponents, I find it odd if I was banned over this
Hmm Idk
Account was 3 months old, manually played without cheats for the first 3 months.
Never spoofed on this PC and never will!
I installed one of the dma drivers on my main PC, maybe this was the case?
Didn't know disabling certain bios settings effects your trust factor These dev's are becoming really sophisticated.
Might of been the case.
I was running latest macku firmware, is it safe to use? I heard people are getting banned because of it

Using Aimbot these days is the quickest way to a ban IMO. Server side telemetry is too good. Also playing legit for 3 months and then cheating is a red flag. To AI the telemetry it looks like your aim is normal and then all the sudden its completely different. Even if macku firmware is UD (which im not sure it is). As for drivers for dma on main pc, it could be because of this as well. If it was your first ban and you got HWID, its probably a driver or the macku firmware. If it was HWID after multiple burnt accounts, then it's def telemetry.

What cheat were you using?
If you were closet cheating, then it's unlikely that alone caused the ban, unless the aimbot was too strong. Even then, you'd typically expect a shadow ban first. If the cheat had a ****** write aimbot, that could also be a factor, but if you were genuinely closet cheating, I'd say it's less likely.
I know there are a few dozen users in the LockedIn Discord who have been banned while using read-only features. The only common denominator was that they were all using the same MAKCU firmware.
That said, I also know plenty of people using the same firmware who haven't been banned, so it's honestly 50/50. There's not enough evidence to say for sure whether the firmware itself is the issue.

Brother, the thing is I never even finished setting up Aimbot, so I never used it. I had a macku & XIM Matrix plugged in but I couldn't figure out how to use it. I was on chat with blurred support before the ban trying to figure out how it worked. So all my kills were without aimbot. Yes I agree, it was either the Macku or the driver which got me hit. I'll have to research on telemetry, do you have any more info on it?

Blurred, why do you ask?
I never used aimbot, this is what I find strange.
Yep, seems like my ban either came from the MACKU or the driver installed on my main PC.
I hear it, thanks for replying anyway. Ive just ordered a new MB & a TPM Chip, i'll be sure to be careful next time round.
Also what do you know about AI Telemetry detection anti-cheat systems use to find out who's using aimbot, do you know anything about this?

I was asking which cheat you were using because some developers do a really ****** job with their write aimbot. Blurred isn't one of them, though, so it's very unlikely that the cheat itself caused the ban.

It measures a variety of behaviors, such as how often you hit the same part of the body and the same spot within that area, your time to target (how quickly your reticle moves from off-target to on-target), whether your recoil control is identical every time, etc.

This changes things considerably. The XIM was likely the cause.

Yeah blurred is really good, I can't complain with their service ngl.
I understand, that's pretty ******. I got banned because I used the XIM Matrix. Is it easily detectable? because iv'e heard nothing about it being detected, only macku? Thanks for the info anyway bro. I knew it was either the driver or the aimbot hardware which got my pinched. Ive had so many people tell me it was the firmware. Guess I know now

Ricochet has a pretty aggressive enforcement policy against XIM. If you look through the XIM forums, you'll see people getting banned all the time because of poor configurations.

There's a good guide on
I wouldn't use it at all.
Thanks mate, im going to send it back to America where it came from xD

Tbh I got banned on Bo6 for trying to setup Controller aimbot through Macku / Xim so just ended up playing cod without it.
Imo you don't really need aimbot, pretty sure blurred has an option to remove visual recoil that's read only. Again, use with caution.
You may want to double check you didn't get HWID banned before doing anything else, considering the spoofer situation currently.
