We have not been detected twice lol.
Ive posted this a handful of times now and this will be my last time.
In February (mid feb) we saw a couple ban reports come in initially, having 2500+ active users at that time this was far from a red flag, we have hundreds of users who also utilize things like spoofers/unlock tools etc.
It initially did not make any sense to think Mobius was the issue when a handful of bans came in on a 2500+ userbase, I think any dev here would agree with me that is not a telltale sign something is wrong with your product.
Regardless, we took the cheat down initially for a few days to verify everything was fine, we concluded that is was and the cheat went back up. A few days later we saw more bans roll in, enough to cause alarm to us.
We once again shutdown the cheat to review everything and figured out what was happening. A few days into reviewing our code we discovered an error, without getting too specific this error could sporadically cause our screenshot protection to fail. It was completely random, which is why the bans were completely random and made finding the issue difficult as the bans had nothing in common.
After 14 days or so after we were confident everything had been fixed properly the cheat went back online. The following week we saw a few bans roll in and we did determine these to be delayed bans from the screenshot protection failure.
We stated the bans were caused by us, we pushed an update with a bad line of code and as a result got some of our users banned. This was not the result of Ricochet being skilled and crafty and adapting to pick up Mobius as some believe, this was simply a fuck up on our end, bottom line.
Initially when only a few bans came in yes, we assumed those reporting had used something else and gotten themselves banned, we had no reason to believe otherwise.
When we discovered we were the cause of the issue, we let everyone of our users know. We did not blame them for getting banned, when we knew it was us we stated as much.
Total about 230 users were banned during that period from mid Feb to now, considering our userbase at the time of the issue was 2500+ I am thankful it was not worse.
It was our fault, it happened, we arent blaming our users.
Currently there are over 2000 people still using without issues, if Mobius had been actually detected I can assure you it would have gotten at least half of our userbase, that is not what happened.
