Shadow banned after using paypal/credit card

Anyone experience this.

Was setting up for clean play, bought the battle pass and boom! SB'd

Lesson learned: only spend money on providers, not acti.

I've always talked about flag by payment or IP.

Even though they don't currently do it, they can start whenever they want. They could involve it in their trust score or outright take action.

I don't think they have yet though. You may have just gotten unlucky.

Most likely unrelated to your payment but rather a HWID flag.

It only got triggered when I bought the battle pass. I was gaming on that machine forever.

Weird.
Very unusual for them to do a payment flag unless you've abused it in the past.
None of their games flag payments but rather ban the b.net account after.

Yeah first time for me.
I logged into an old account (was playing with it for a few days), clicked on battle pass.
Gave me prompt and chose paypal.
Bought it. Queued up to a game and 350ms.

I pinged battle.net support and they didn't know what was happening but were happy to refund me.

I'll update this thread post resolution or permaban.

I have been flagged via PayPal and debit card. Accounts got SB after payments.

They have to track the payment methods from prev. banned account has been used before.

You can def bypass this with gift cards and stuff noway they track how you bought a gift card

Do they stop sb you after using the payment card after?

I'll be using privacy.com from now on anyways as I don't trust activision with anything really.

Okay, something is really weird.
On ban appeal it says, reviewing, but i just queued up and played in plunder...?
Are they having more incompetence on the server side?

i got my refund and still kept the battle pass �� (acti's fault here)

Yeah there are services where you can use someone's card and pay them BTC but I think the best option for the most part would be pre-paid gift cards.
