Understanding HWID ban/ shadow bans

So at the start of season 2 there was a massive anti-cheat upgrade to AAC.
After the update, accounts that were shadowed, expired, and then used to inject got instant shadowed.
The accounts were given a "cheater mark/point" which prevents any permission of unknown memory.
Nobody knows when the point expires, but for some it's within a month.

My account A got shadow banned first time last Saturday after one match with aimex and infinite spoofer, I wonder if it is the case that my account was marked? Minutes later, acount A was perm banned but I can't recall if I injected infinite spoofer or not afterwards

I' ve been banned yeaterday probably for cheating 1week ago for a few games lol. And then i did the stupidity to make a new account and i get an immediate shadowban.
If i reinstall windows and install the game again in a different disk and a new account is there a possibility to get a shadowban again?

yes there is possibility. No one knows which part of your pc gets tagged. You may be able to play for a few games but you will get shadowbanned after that and maybe perm banned.

For some reason I can't seem to quote your last message. I saw this thread Googling HWID bans and wondered if you could point me in the right direction. You might have already answered this so apologies/thanks in advance.

I was banned as part of the 16th March banwave for using the unlocker tool for camo's/skins. I have never used walls or aimbots or anything like that. Since WZ/MW are linked, that is banned but my CW linked to the same account is working as usual.

I made a new account and ping shoots to >350 ms so I'm assuming that's been shadowbanned. I tested the shadowban method (by unlinking on ATVI website) but gave me an error. Is the shadowban on the new account due to expire in 14 days or is this more of a HWID ban? Any info would be great.

So recently I used EO for a few days stupidly on my main account and still got picked up on in the latest ban wave.

I have then created a new account and looks like it is shadow banned.

But to be safe I have replaced my pc parts do you think this will be enough to not get HWID banned?

GPU

I have played on my console tonight with no issues so I don’t think my router is HWID banned.

You don't need to replace GPU.
But others are fine.

sold my 3080 GPU today to someone who is mining and used it’s as an excuse to get a 3090... The Mrs was on board 😂

So changing Motherboard and HDD with a fresh install of windows should limit the risk of a HWID ban

Make sure if you have more than one drive you change those too.

Just a couple of things for future reference:

1. you don't have to buy PC parts every time you get banned. There are some spoofers (such as INFINITE) that change your HWID and if you use them you will not be shadowbanned. There are plenty of topics here on how to get rid of shadowbans.

2. To my knowledge, Activision doesn't do IP bans. Also to my knowledge (I am a computer engineer), there is no way for applications running on your PC to detect the HWID of your router. They can find the HWID of your Ethernet adapter, just not your router.
