If you were banned on one account then tried to do it soon after without a different ip then you should know better that they do still monitor things like that to see if your going to do it else wise.

Derp doesn't have anything to do with the chests, btw & alot more then just 1 person uses this an none else have an issue.

I know i understand, no i wasn't speed hacking.. its just kinda weird for them to ban me instantly but no worries waiting on 3.0 either way ^^

They do quite often, despite what they say else wise - ban by association simply because they can ( plenty know this an have started using vpn's ).

A gm the other day while I was sat in olly in mist thought it to be amusing to dps me with GM skills an think it was funny upon going to dc/ban/ipban me which was a bit irrelevant since I was back on after closing out an jotting down things then making a quick account an going to test what I had jotted.

They simply just did it to me, because it was me - when really I don't give a **** because they can never keep me banned or detour what I'm doing an it doesn't even bother me that they waste there time using GM skills on me instead of tackling other more important tasks in the game an honestly when they do **** like that an I fire on a few things to log it, it only helps progress more things I've got in private I'm working on for the long run an them not knowing the surprises I have for 3.0

How do they ever find out it's you though, if you're on vpn's and virtual machines?

Because I tend to use the same trolling emails or usernames to annoy them or do speed hacking past what is available in derp but is detected on the server end.

It's actually amusing because I don't tend to get banned often while on EU doing things but NA is usually rather quick so it just shows you how little trion gives a **** about EU

I'm doing some stress testing now to see how the ban is but if anyone has any more information whether they are getting insta-banned or its an approx period of time before they get to it I would appreciate the information.

I have been using Terrain/Object fade maxed or near maxed with Speed set to 4 30% zoom 50% FOVand Fog turned off and I have uncovered tons of sunken treasure just running straight to the shipwrecks without a ban and it's been 3 hours or so. This is all with only Derp active.

Edit: on top of the speed I am also using the dash pretty regularly and when on land I will mount and use speed buffs.

Edit: One more hour of doing the same activity got me the Suspicious debuff and everything locked. So it seems to be pretty instant as soon as they have enough information on you using a third party program.

Which is why I noted with the speed but perhaps something not noted is that using the dash with it is the same as it going above > 5 an will eventually result in that if used excessively because it will become detected on the server end an was originally implemented to stop bots from speeding around with packs or leveling as such.

In short, that bit is automated an because your staying over the threshold the entire time and something I can replicate even faster by setting the speed above 20-25.

Also depends sometimes as the server may notice/flag ( which is when you get purple an locked down ) or a GM might be roaming around or get flag/told. You are more likely to get banned faster on NA then EU since there is only 1-2 GM's who frequent EU though sometimes the NA ones do go over there its actually much easier on EU to hack all over the place without being bothered by GM's roaming around.

Has anyone received an IP ban using the Modpack/Derp regularly like not over the top hardcore speed hacks or anything ?

I have had a few accounts running sunken treasure using speed set to 2/3 occasionally pretty well just swimming point to point and nothing has happened as of yet its been about a day and a half.

Edit: I am also curious if trading with my main through mail or what not would put it at risk I have my alts running on a VPN spoofing my IP as well.

I've earned more then enough ipbans, but thats because its me an they have a hard-on for keeping me out of the game or as bigdatadude told me in private "slowing me down" which as we all here know - a VPN is easy to come by and even easier to spoof hwid if needed to continue on. As for everyone else I don't think I've ever had someone come across an tell me they are ipbanned, mostly just bans for dumb shit or bad luck an a GM being around.

As for trading to main, I would avoid using mail or direct trades ( both are logged, alot, and is how gold sellers/buyers get stripped usually ) and instead take an put into AH for items an then pop in a chest set to family/guild and there you go. When we duped over 7mil in credits from the one apex exploit & only the account got banned but all the items from the boxes got put into chests an absolutely all of it stayed an nobody involved ( 3-4 friends of mine ) got banned from selling/moving/ect with it afterwards an those who usually go to dupe ( not sure if anyone tries anymore cause how support is now ) an say account was hacked ( which I've personally helped about 30ish people with over time, some of them several times ) dumped all there stuff in chests then took the alt out of family/guild an everything got replaced after by a GM.

I appreciate all of the information thank you I didn't want to quote your whole post but it is all helpful. I will keep this information in mind. I wasn't aware of the community chest information I'll have to figure something out for that.

Now I have noticed something. There is a Glyph Exception Handler constantly running as long as AA is running. If you close it, it forces AA to close as well. The reason I bring this up is because something I read previously about suspicions that Glyph Launcher holds the hooks that catch the third party programs.
