Current Server: Elysium
Hi guys, my name is Travis, and today I wanted to create a topic for people returning to the game, or just wondering which server is the best for them.

First off, I will let you know my experience. I have played since acclaim open beta and all the versions that followed. The private servers I've played include the play9d servers and the one that I will talk about later. People know me as the bot nuker xXx, and the lob nuker Rice. I did the live dance contest on GC because my pockets weren't deep enough for that server. My league affiliations go back to Jasmine, Legends, Killa Klownz, AoW.

First I want to say that RedFox, the current official server is a money trap. Now, you might ask yourself why? Why is the "official" server a money trap. First, the item malls are untradeable. What this means is that if you buy something from the item mall, and want to help a friend, or sell that item...you can't . Unless you want to gamble all your money away on blue boxes...Also the server experience is horrible. I got to CS 8, and it takes about 1 hour grind, and it was shit. Now if you have deep pockets, a no life attitude, and a willingness to see that shit all wash away, be my quest.

Now we will talk about Project Alpha. [Currently Down, Not an Option as of now]
Well the only thing I can say about this game is that I heard about it for a while. When I try running client it does not work. I use windows 10, so maybe that is why. I gave up trying to get GG fix in order to run on windows 10 and moved on. I have heard from friends that server has alot of bugs and that it is dead often. None of this is personal experience, so if you want to try be my quest. I see alot of people on this forum(the only place I can seem to find any information on project alpha) pledge to it. Be wary though, the owner of servers are young, so you might see your stuff in the future go *poof*.

Lastly I will talk about the server I highly recommend(Elysium). I have been playing there for only 2 weeks and let me tell you this. I have never been so hooked so quickly. The GM's, Dimi and Mardu have the fastest response time. I literally deleted my character on accident a week ago. I ask for help, within a day all my items and character was back. There have been 4 hide and seek events and 4 PK events since my time here. VGM and GM's are almost always online, rebuffing CoS and assisting. The biggest thing you should know about this server that everything is farmable. I mean everything. It was a huge change for me, since I was used to GC BS for years. I farmed my 30 day premium within the first 6 hours. Another thing to note is that the owner of the server has the most passion of an owner I have ever met. This guy faces lawsuits, has a full time job and family, yet he always shows up, every night. He will not let server die. That one reason is enough for me. All other servers are owned by people who want money. This guy just wants to keep the game alive. As I sit here writing this, league needs help.

I don't know what else to say. As I learn more, I will let you guys know.

You didn't say what server you were currently playing in your post, do you mind sharing or is that personal info you aren't willing to give to public. If so I will understand but maybe i could help you get referall points if what you say is true about the server i wouldn't mind trying it out

Let me tell you some things about PA - you won't even probably listen to me about any other.

PA got down because of lawsuit afaik. I'm going to work on some things that they won't be able to sue us anymore. Project Alpha was the first one with Windows 10 compatibility. Well, good luck with getting GG fix, especially that we use custom hack shield. Actually, owner isn't that young at all. Also, when it comes to GM/dev, even I don't know Bogdy's age. Does it even matter, if you have enough knowledge and experience?

I didn't even know PA was down due to lawsuit. By GG fix, I meant in order to play on Windows 10, I needed GG fix. I couldn't get it though, but if PA servers are down, it no longer is a viable choice for new players. Now that I know this, I will edit post, since PA is no longer an option for returning players or new players. Good luck fixing lawsuit, let me know when servers are back up. For now, PA is down. Thanks for the information.

And in response to you claiming that 100 euros=fully geared. You don't have to spend money if you don't want to.

Elysium you can literally farm everything. Some items take a bit, but at around IM 12, which is easy to get with base exp rate and exp events that are held on weekends, it is quite easy to get. Farm Yuan Shao, which is spawned like mobs, and you can easily farm gear. What I did the first week was take the time to get IM 12 first. Farm Yuan Shao for Bead(which NPC's for 2.4kk) and GTH and FSH, which is tradeable for scale, JS, plus 2 scroll, detach tool, and many other items. I refined the gift weapon to plus 7(100% rate till than) and than scrolled it. Quite easy to farm Yuan Shao using LoS spot(which is allowed). After a couple days there, I farmed Icy for HG set material. With drop very high, it is quite easy to farm it, took a couple of days. After that farm Yuan Shao to make some more gold and bought relics and weapon. The game makes it easier, and there is a few guides that can help anyone just starting to make gold. On top of that every 5 hours of log in, players get 2 blue boxes. There are hourly gifts, but the 5th hour is the best. With blue boxes, easily get harder items or sell for gold if you just start.

As adek said we're down due to copyright issues which we're working on.

Project Alpha was the first to have a win10 fix, and no we don't need gg fix, since we're not even using gameguard anymore (custom hackshield with most 9D issues like cable removal, client editing, launcher bypassing removed).

Actually highly depends on what you understand by young, we're definitely not some highschool wannabe-GMs. I've came to the conclusion that age doesn't matter, the owner of a server you like is kind of old, though age didn't prevent him from making the players' IP public, here on epvp . If we were that young/inexperienced, we wouldn't have launched the server in the first place

Of course I know, that's farmable. But I don't like the fact anyone can get items if they pay for it. If something should be farmable, it should stay this way. If something is IM only - it shouldn't be OP. It's completely P2W, and I know what I'm saying, because I played on Elysium. And a lot other servers. When it comes to other servers than PA, I miss Play9D R1 & EoD. But neither 9DPK nor Elysium gave that positive vibe. The only thing I like on Ely is CC dungeon. That's the difficulty I'd like to see on every dungeon.

Also, how many eyes you had chance to farm @ Ely? Additionally, 5 hours is pain. You can get blue boxes only via $$$ or staying afk. Even changing map may disconnect you from the server - I do know something about it, so many times got DC at 4th hour.

It's sad you didn't see revamped King Jin @ PA. Quite hard dungeon with awesome epi reward (HE gives +1k Yin/Yang/Body/Soul and 20% crit).

Well first off, if you have experience and knowledge, why is your server down without a date when it will come back up. Of course you can estimate, which you have, as I've read, but is there really a 100% chance that your server will come back up? How long will the players have to wait? What happens to the data as people wait? Leaking players' information is not such a big mistake in comparison to a server shutdown without a for sure date when it will come back up.

Of course there is the possibility that Elysium will shut down. But so far, in it's two year life span(longer than most), Mardu has successfully kept it alive and running. He is always active everyday to get feedback on server, and recently the population has been very high in Elysium(Probably due to the fact that it is the best option right now).

Farming eyes is quite hard, I'm not going to lie. The players have suggested adding eyes to hourly gift, and Mardu has said that changes will be coming to the game in order to help with these problems.

And addressing your issue with the item mall in Elysium. Sure, if you have money you can buy what you want. But you could also farm it. Only those who are impatient will find it unfair. All the item mall items can be farmed, and with blue boxes every 5 hours(I have not experienced many DC's even with crowded servers) it is easy to get gold or items that one may need.
There is nothing IM only, and to be honest, I just want to have fun.

My main reason for coming back to game after Acclaim, G1, Subagames, GC, play9d, etc, etc is that I really love the mechanics and fun it brings. I don't want to spend my whole life just trying to get back to Cap like I did on Official Servers like GC.

Also one of the main reasons I'm staying with Elysium is because the owner, Mardu, is much more stable. He already has a family and a grounded job. By this I mean his life is at point where there is low volatility. Younger owners on the other hand are, for lack of better words, fresh. You guys have your whole life ahead of you. Now, I'm not saying that you guys aren't dedicating 100% to Project Alpha, it's just hard to believe that something won't change. You might fall in love, you might get fired, you might lose passion. You guys are in your mid-twenties and your telling me that by the time you guys are middle aged that you will still hold the same passion for the game, have not found love in life. Let me tell you something, love or a girlfriend will take away all your time. I wouldn't play this game if I was still with my ex. The owner of Elysium already has found his love, and she supports him with Elysium. All in all, it's just hard to believe in a server that is owned by people who have so much change waiting for them in the future. Not including that you guys apparently do it for free, not offering any item mall benefits that could make the game "pay2win".

Well let me know when those issues are fixed. I think your inexperience can be seen through the shutdown of the server through copy right issues. But that is my opinion. Maybe if you guys bring back the server, you'll have gained experience through this ordeal. Of course there is chance that it will never come back up, or, due to the wait, and general impatience of 9dragons players, population will exponentially decrease, as those, during the waiting time found another server, or something better to do with their time.

Accepting that my post will further push this propaganda topic I still think it's fair to share the following information.

What do Acclaim, GamesCampus, Play9D and Elysium have in common? They rely(ied) 100% on income and we all have experienced what happens with those kinds of servers.

This is also why propaganda topics like this one exist in the first place. They need more players to satisfy their greed for more money, that kind of greed also is the origin of every corrupted staff. If the numbers on the bankstatement are not "right" the server will be closed.

So arguing that our team is young and our server might go *poof* is quite incoherent and makes no sense at all.

We are independend have no item mall and don't rely on money at all.
Our purpose is to provide a fair and great game experience. Why? - For the love to the game itself. We also abandon the idea of directly attacking other privates(Do I need to remember your guys huge effort to demolish our forum?).
We abandon this, because our independency of income gives us no reason to do so.

Additionally having a variety of private servers only conforms us because people who like our server philosiphy will stick with us and others will spare us of trouble by choosing another server.
