Play9D site down?

Yeah DDoS on the webserver (or DNS server they didn't tell me exactly), no information given yet - it's either some skiddies or GC spent a few bucks on a botnet _again_.[I'd rather like to think it's GC even though it's not confirmed yet, because if someone wanted to bring the game itself down they would DDoS the game servers not the webserver. By taking down the webserver they're preventing pipiload cards from being redeemed i.e; trying to increase their income] All I know is that play9d is hosted in a specific offshore datacenter so it takes time to deal with things, as far as I know they contacted the datacenter administrators but I don't know if they started mitigating the attack already.

I've heard mixed stories about how the "Hshield error" can be resolved and produces gameplay by switching files from G1 9D and replacing them. is there any truth to this? does it allow for gameplay?

interesting bit of news there. my hunch was correct. did you ban any player recently?

isnt there a clause for the offshore hosts that if you get ddosed repeated they will ask you to discontinue service with them?

site is still down, looks like quite a powerful attack.

and what do you mean GC spent money on a botnet "again"?

they attacked before too ? :O

this reminds me of that episode when anonymous/lulzsec ****** with eve online and minecraft servers and got their website blasted and attempts of dox from other hackers xD

maybe its some loyal gc player who is angry at u guys

If you get HS error, reinstall the pvp server manual update. Worked for me.

hey guys is the server up because when i try to start it it doesnt let me press the "Start" button i can press "options" but thats it also i cant even get into the main site please help me!

Re-installing that patch does work indeed, here it is if people were having trouble finding it.
