This is a basic tip that everybody might not know so dont flame me for it. The Dead Mines is an instance thats the first most people will go to, and also learn the painful word of, wipe.
When your on VCs ship and your about to wipe, quickly run to the ferry wheel thats on the side of the ship. This will reset aggro on all mobs/bosses that might be trying to kill you. You can't miss the wheel, it is huge.
*NOTE: this will most likely only work if you already cleared the mobs on the first deck and are on the ramp up to the second. This is because you will probably not be able to run past the mobs on the ramp to the wheel because they can daze you.
