OMG snowballs!!!

found out this interesting bit of information on how cooldowns work. While playing with my snowball maker i noticed that it is NOT soulbound. It has a 24hour timer withevery snowball you make. If you trade it to someone else, they too can make a snowball with that machine. the cooldown is bound to your character, not the item itself. so, you could in theory, make a ton of snowballs a day with just one machine.

the snowball machine might be near useless, but does anyone know of any other items with cooldowns that arent soulbound?

if i remember correctly the leatherworkers salt shaker is not soul bound, and has a ****** 3day timer on it so this might work in the same sense though only leatherworkers can use. Would be nice to have especially with all these new patterns in 1.11 needing alot of cured rugged hides.

even so the other person would need LW 250 to use it, so theres not really much point in doing it with the salt shaker

well you could double the amount with 2 persons with lw 250+, 3x so much with 3 persons, and so on... would work

yes and no.

Of course you can trade your saltshaker around, but it doesn't really help you, since a LW250+ usually uses his own saltshaker for himself every three days, so he won't be able to use yours anymore.

still, if you can actually find one who doesn't and get him to use yours to produce salt for you, good for you

You would save some money by sharing it, but well, 5-15g (depends on server) isn't that much now, is it?

The other guy could trade his salt shaker also to you so you could use the cooldown also.

global cooldown on salt shakers, stops you from buying multiple to use them.
