This bug is located at the Alter of Storms (and possibly other places) in the Blasted Lands. The mobs walking around there tend to have a bug with weapon drops. If the mob is going to drop a weapon or offhand, you will see them carrying it around instead of their normal default staff, sword, etc.
This is very useful to scan around for epic drops, seeing as the Krol Blade and Glowing Brightwood Staff have the potential of dropping here! Thus, you can run around scanning the mobs, and if one is holding a Glowing Brightwood instead of their boring staff or sword, you are guaranteed the staff when you kill it!
Kann ich bestätigen! Das klappt btw. bei allen Schattenanbetern in den verwüsteten Landen. Man braucht halt viel Geduld bis man evtl. was findet (und sollte auch zwischendurch ein wenig metzeln und für respawn sorgen).
Meistens ist es ein grauer stab oder ein grauer streitkolben (1 g xx s beim Händler) ..so gesehen bei einem Rohling die eigentlich keine Waffen tragen, der hatte nen stab dabei ..nuja es war zwar nur der graue stab aber das war der beweis das es funzt, bei allen Schattenanbetern. Prägt euch einfach die standardwaffen ein und sucht dann gezielt..am Altar in den Bergen und an der mine nahe Nethergard.
Definitiv so, auch an allen anderen Spawnpoints der Shadowsworn kann man (falls es Loot gibt) dies im vorhinein sehen...leider keinen Screenie aber irgendein crappy Staff ist da letztens gedroppt, der Mob war mit exakt demselben Model ausgerüstet.

Are u sure this is a bug... It wont seem like a bug.. Maybe it was intended that u can see what weapon they have... It's logig, if someone have big sledgehammer, ofcourse he carries that, and wont keep in huge pocket >_<

I guess mgX is kind of disappointed, that Germans actually reply in German on a German forum....even if the original post was in English.
The replies mainly confirm what the OP stated, and even more so, the Shadowsworn all over BL seem to show this "feature", since I was grinding away somewhere to the east, and I noticed that once a weapon, be it grey or green or blue, dropped, the mob was actually carrying the same model itself.

Nethergaurde Keep which is in north east blasted lands there are the nethergaurde hummaniods. You can see the weapon drops before kills on them . Ill post a SS look at the dead body ull notice the weapon ussualy they have 1H sword and a shield.
