Reset Instance for Entire Party

I have heard it reported that this doesn't work since the last patch. I haven't tried it myself, however, but I used to use that script all the time when farming Dire Maul east.

If it still works, you can use it solo to reset instances for yourself. Do a /who Black Rock Spire and pick someone in the list, set up a macro as the following.

/invite <player_from_ubrs>
/script LeaveParty();

Then when you run the macro since they are grouped you don't bother them. Once in a while the group will finish their run and you will get a tell from the person asking about the group invite. Just tell them it was a mistake and change the macro to put another name into it. Since UBRS takes about 2 hours to complete, you usually get at least 1 hour use per name.

One other thing, its easy to reset the instance if you are going to re-try it as a group. The easiest method if you have willing participants is to just leave the instance, promote someone else to leader, then everyone quit the group. Then the original leader re-forms the group. What happens is you move the instance to the person you promoted, then when you all reform the group its a new group leader (at least to the game) and when you walk back in, new instance.[/quote]

naja aber das mit dem aus der instanz gehen..anderem leader geben und gruppe verlassen ist doch bekannt sowie dann der "alte" leader invitet und die instanz dann resettet ist?
was jetzt daran neu Lowfyr? oder sehe ich den wald vor bäumen ned?

1) invite a friend outside of instance
2) enter instance do what you need to do
3) come out of instance
4) promote friend to leader
5) leave group
6) reinvite freind, enter instance and it is reset

This works for me 100% of the time.

Be sure your in a group with a friend and that you are the leader.
Enter the instance, do what you need to do.
Leave the instance.
Tell your buddy to disband and then have him invite you.
once he invites and you join, have him make you the leader.
Now, you can reenter the instance and it will be reset.
Wash rinse repeat

Reset macro just got ninja nerfed during todays maintance

but do not fear i have made a custom macro the lazy ******* i am i refuse to invite / promote / leave group manually
so i made a bit of research on how to make a reset macro and this is what i came up with

you will need 1 vouleenteer to accept your group invites + you will need to get flexbar, you do not have to use the button options just have it instanlled to use some of its macro functions.

you can download flexbar here

The way it works basicly the same as the the old reset macro, allthough it has a timer on it and promotes other player to leader before quiting group.

hit the macro on you way out of instance wait for the "your not in this groups instance" to confirm reset and exit
you can adjust the timer to your liking 150 is 15 sec roughly
you will need the delay on promote so the person have enough time to accept invite

/invite playername
/fbdoin 150 /script PromoteToPartyLeader("party1")
/fbdoin 150 /script LeaveParty()

Easiest way on Earth. Works perfectly.

You are playerA. You know playerB(or playerB is your second account).

Invite playerB
You zone in instance. Do whatever you want to do.
WHILE INSIDE THE INSTANCE, YOU leave group.
Zone out of instance.

Repeat(YOU reinvite playerB. Instance run. YOU leave group...ect)
