[Launcher Problem] Unable to open WoW key in registery

Hab mir gedacht ich könnte mal wieder ne runde gliden, hab mir den launcher gezogen und kann jetzt aber glider über den launcher nicht installieren.

Es kommt folgende fehlermeldung:

Weiß jemand was ich da am besten mache?

das heisst das dein wow nicht in der registry eingetragen ist wohl es eigentlich hingehört , das problem besteht meisten bei vista usern hatte es auch. falls du vista 64 bit os hast kannst du glider gleich wieder löschen leuft 100% nicht.

falls du aber die 32 bit hast:

Create the keys Glider is looking for... Glider searches for registry keys in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft

I found my keys originally in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft

That is an incorrect path for Glider - It will not find your keys there!


Important!
Do not delete any existing WoW registry values, leave them alone!

Registry Fix Method

1) Open the registry. Open your "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder.

2) Right-Click on Software (do not open "Wow6432Node"!) and select "New -> Key". Then type in "Blizzard Entertainment".

3) Right-Click on "Blizzard Entertainment" folder and select "New -> Key". Then type in "World of Warcraft".

4) Right-Click on "World of Warcraft" folder and select "New -> String Value". Type in "GamePath".

5) Double-Click the "GamePath" string value. Insert into Value Data: "[Your Directory for World of Warcraft]\Launcher.exe".

(e.g. My "GamePath" string value reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe")

6) Right-Click on "World of Warcraft" folder and select "New -> String Value". Type in "InstallPath".

7) Double-Click the "InstallPath" string value. Insert into Value Data: "[Your Directory for World of Warcraft]" with a "\" at the end.

(e.g. My "InstallPath" string value reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\")

8) Right-Click on "World of Warcraft" folder and select "New -> String Value". Type in "UninstallPath".

9) Double-Click the "UninstallPath" string value. Insert into Value Data: "[Your Directory for World of Warcraft in the Common Files Area]". This will be the hardest, if my example directory does not work for you, you will need to turn off "Hidden Folders" and search for the correct path.

(e.g. My "UninstallPath" string value reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Uninstall.exe").

If you follow these directions EXACTLY, your Glider should function like normal. I cannot guarantee it will work for heavily modified or copied WoW Games.

hmm, ich hätte wohl reinschreiben sollen das ich da schon alleine drauf gekommen bin, aber danke für deine mühe. zum thema vista 64 bit... ich hab xp 64bit. der glider läuft zwar einigermaßen, aber ohne shadow funktion, daher nicht zu empfehlen. ging eigentlich ganz einfach, man muss eigentlich die anwendung als xp oder win 2000 anwendung ausführen lassen... aber wie gesagt, nicht zu empfehlen...

btw: innerspace ftw!
