Now first glance it looks like that there is a sort of randomized items shown in this trailer. If your a fan of any of bethesda's games then you should know that when promoting a "new" game they always give some sort of hints to what it is in their teaser trailers. A lot of people assume that this trailer is a teaser for the next Fallout 4 because Bethesda has kept the public quiet on their progress with that next installment.
People have been flooding the twitter, and facebook pages of Bethesda and some of hte employees. People being enraged that they weren't exactly clear with that trailer is for. Sorry to tell you Fallout fans, this isn't a teaser for the next Fallout. As of a couple hours ago Bethesda employees have started answering these comments about the teaser. Here is an example of one of the comments over twitter between a Fallout Fan and Bethesda VP:
There are multiple answers that are similar to that one about it being Fallout teaser. So this specific trailer is it Fallout 4? No. But they didn't say they weren't working on Fallout 4, in fact they even hinted that they may give it's first Teaser during E3 of this year.
What could this trailer be then? Here are a few answers that could maybe fill the void with some information to back it up.
1) The wire could represent two games that Bethesda said that they are working on: Wolfenstein, and Project Zwei. The book pages that are flipped quickly are fragments of names that were mentioned in both of the original games of those.
A) The wire could represent Wolfenstein to symbol nazi based era since the previous games had that ongoing item amongst the background of gameplay. In both the original and the remake. Then the fragmented names are close to the names found in some journals that were hidden amongest the last levels in the most recent Wolfenstein.
B) For project Zwei the wire could represent the ongoing symbol of wires, and chains from the original survival horror. The wires and chains were a huge "Etc" item that was played in the original game. There in fact was a joke about how there was a set of wires that "never ended" *hint hint the continous wire in the trailer that didn't come to an end*. The names in the book had similar names to some of the character in Zwei.
2) Bethesda said they would be working on a "New Project" New meaning that they had started work on it either recently or a few months ago. Obviously Fallout 4 has been in the works since specualation states 2011. Wolfenstein and Zwei weren't entirely announced until recently. In 2012 they were talked about but not confirmed. Plus New could also mean something that hasn't been shown recently. Fallout series was last seen in 2010. Same can be said about Wolfenstein since the lastest installment for that series was back in '09. When the first game for Zwei was dated almost 10 years ago (It was a game that had the same premise but a different name but was called 'Code name' Zwei).
3) Some people are speculating that it could be the next installment for Rage. That is wrong because rage was never considered a "big game" anyway. It didn't do well sales wise plus they only stated that they were Thinking about making a second rage but it wasn't offically decided yet.
4) The creator of Resident Evil is working with Bethesda to come up with Project Zwei. Don't you think the fact that the master mind behind Resident Evil is joining hands with Bethesda to make a new survivor horror with rpg elements a "Big Project"? The elements of Fallout collide with Resident Evil is basically what Zwei is. That right there should say that, that is a big project.
The rest is for you to decide if this information can fill the void that this trailer as left the viewers with (Or at least fill in some blanks to questions that has risen from the trailer).
