Request Target info

Hi,
Requesting the theory, or Tutorial of how to find a Target Offset in a game.

I'll try to explain better what I mean,
As in to Target a Mob,
can be done in this game by,
Direct Mouse Click, or TAB key.

I have the base addresse,
that I notice from the program I am using (bot program) that it's relative to everything, by that i mean functions ie Health/Mp/X,Y,Z/etc. only the offsets are different in making the bot function.

However, I dont know how, or where to look for the Target Offset.

Just head me in the right way, and I can prolly find it..

Did you try simply looking for that Base Address using a memory scanner like Cheat Engine? That should give you the offset of the pointer which contains the offset of the player struct (HP, MP etc.).

the game is ether saga Wadim,
and yes i did find the base address for the players mp/hp and everything,
the offsets for those didn't change, but even if they did...
I didn't know how to use CE to go that step farther and find the offset,
only the backtracked the HP pointer to find the base address.
Finding offsets say,
HP = &HA2638C,&H28,&H278
I only know that the last group is the Offset,
I'm not even sure what the middle group refers too,
but it currently works for tracking hp.

I'm pretty newb, and really only jumping into this head first simply cause the bot isn't supported anymore and I miss it.
What I'm really trying to do is learn so that I can do this myself next time there's and update.
Like I said I found the base address and everything works fine except the auto-target.

So what I know,
Is the targeting is someone linked to the base address.

(still working on coming up with ideas too tho, just hoping for an explanation)

If it helps any, I think we've found out the &H is related to the bot somehow, not the addresses so you can ignore those. Also I found that If I use C10 like this...
Target = &HA2638C,&H28,&HC10
...the bot will search randomly around nearby enemies. Somebody else found that if you put BA4 like this...
Target = &HA2638C,&H28,&HBA4
...that it makes the bot search, find a target but it attempts to pickup loot and find another target before this one is fully dead.

Neither of us know what were doing so any help would be GREAT.

&H means at Hex ...

but yea, i found several that will search, but not attack ..
