If you’re using Windows 7, at a minimum, on this version of Windows, you have DirectX 10. Windows Vista comes with DirectX 10, too.

There isn’t a Microsoft link for downloading DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 yet. However there’s a Microsoft link for downloading DirectX version 9. You may want to check DirectX Developer Center for more information:
