i have a big problem, every time i wanna oc my processor everything freezes.
don't know how to avoid it. I have latest drivers and latest mainboard-bios.
my graphics card is oc (gpu: at 678, memory: at 1944)
my cpu is in windows ~25 °C and in games ~30 °C ..after 3-4 h at ~35

you need to increase you cpu vcc too for overclocking, if your motherboard doesnt allow this, then you wont be able to do much im afraid, read some oc forums on how to do this and how much for your cpu - if you dont want to harm it
wat u need to do i you need to increase the cpu votltage, and decrease the ram ratio thing so it stays around the regular ram speed, also u may want to put some more volts into that ram, and set the correct ram timings.
how fast r u tryinh to get that Q9300
cause my Q6600 is at 3.4 ghz
btw it isnt 4 CPUs its 4 COREs
when testing for temperatures use a program like
Orthos for stressing the computer
and do
Everest for reading temps mainly, with other misc stuff
also to anyone thinking about doing of this kind of stuff i would reccommend going to

i thought at 3 ghz. i dunno how much i can oc with my 9700 led,
but even if i raise it up by 1 mhz it freezes after 5 sec and if i enable d.o.t. it freezes, too.
Well ... i think you should be able to reach 3.2 Ghz pretty eaisly.
is windows, starting up, u are using windows right?
This is from another forum
"Fantastic board. Easy enough to get stable at 3.6ghz w/ my quad, and I've been able to bench at 4.05ghz (haven't yet tried for stability at that speed.) I've been highly recommending the P7N Diamond as the best 780i board on the market, due to it's OC capabilities and use of improved solid state capacitors and PWM design."

im using windows xp, oh nice post, cause my cousin tried to oc it and it worked, but it raises not good, i rose fsb from 333 to 375.... but it got only 87 hz more each core
and in the bios of the p7n diamond you have not many options to oc ... boards for 100 euro has a better bios cause everyone buys them and they are well supported.
Keep in mind that overclocking can destroy your hardware
if you don't have a very good cooling hardware.
Raising some multipliers increases the current that they get.
In the worst case it's possible that you gently **** up your hardware.
Further more raising your fsb can cause more trouble as without.
your system will get instable maybe... electric circuits aren't happy
about some frequencies.
Frage zum Übertakten. Overclocking! ( ATI HD Radeon 3200) 06/07/2010 - Technical Support - 0 Replies Hi
Ich würde gerne meinen Laptop ein wenig übertakten

4GB DDr2 Ram 333 Mhz
ATI HD Radeon 3200 256 MB 896 Hypermemory Taktung Engine 500 Memory 333 Mhz
Wie ich gehört habe kann ich die Engine problemlos auf 600 Mhz Takten das sollte meinem spiel einen netten aufschwung geben
