DVD-ROM problem

hi i'm having some problems with my dvd-rom.

about 6 months ago i could install, run, and play starcraft on my computer.
But now i can only install, run my game.

it's been some time since then i dont know what could've happened.

i have a legit CD-key, legit CD i bought 5 years ago (i think) and a legit computer so i dont know whats wrong.

i have 30gigs of space
i i can run elder scrolls: oblivion on max settings with 30+ fps
the disk is clean
nobody uses my computer other then me (as far as i know)

ill explain the details

i put the CD in my DVD-ROM drive (i have 2 drives, DVDR is master, DVD is slave)
autorun
install
play
"no disk in drive"

it's in the drive but the thingy isnt recongizing it.

i may have tinkered around with virtual drives which might've caused this

i lost my broodwar cd so i thought if i jsut Download the cd and mount it on DAEMON it'll work. I don't remember what exactly happened but it probably didn't work since im here complaining about it

the 4 removable drives maybe from alchol120 but i cant uninstall it now because i lost it's registery
idk where the F: drive went but i think it's suppose to be the DVD-ROM drive, kinda moved to N:? idk how either

i think the drives K:, L: are from my DAEMON tools virtual drives.

i just wanna play some starcraft ya know?

i found some new info on it.

i think i played around with "nodes" abit 3 years ago to play splinter cell: Chaos theory.
something about disabling nodes and disabling CD drives to play SC:CT.

can anyone provide me some info about enabling cd drives?

Maybe you should try this:
Open your PC an disconnect all cables on your drives, after that, boot your computer.
Shut down the computer again, and know connect all the cables again and start the computer again, then go into your bios and check if all drives are identified correctly.
Normally you should get a message about something like new hardware has been found.
In the best case you can now use your drives as nothing happend
In the worst case nothing will change.

So i think you could give it a try.
