Because you cannot play offline.

I was reported once, BioWare informed me of this, but I don't remember if they actually suspended me or did anything. I played the game sparsely so if they did, I might've just not touched my account till after that punishment had been removed, 'cause I was mainly soloing quests as well.

Mind you, this was on a low level populated server too, before the server merges and F2P re-surge.
