My suggestion in one sentence: Add a seperate section for HWID spoofers and don't allow spoofer providers to advertise in the "normal" blackmarket sections for certain games anymore.
As most of you probably know, nearly every big BattlEye or EasyAntiCheat game such as Apex Legends, PUBG, R6S, Rust, Fortnite, DayZ, Arma 3, Escape from Tarkov and even more have HWID bans. This means that parts of the cheaters computer, such as serial numbers of certain hardware (mostly the harddrives), certain files (called trackingfiles), and things in the registry are being blacklisted by the anticheat and whenever the cheater plays a game where he is HWID banned in, he gets banned after a short time, even if he played legit. Some games only HWID ban in very rare cases, in other games every ban is a HWID ban. While tracking files and registry stuff can be bypasses by reinstalling windows, actual hardware bans can become a bigger issue for some people.
There are 2 ways to bypass an hardware ban:
- Either replace the hardware that is banned (buy new HDD/SDD for example)
- Or buy a HWID spoofer
And this is where my recommendation comes into place. Over the past 2 years, there have been a lot of providers coming up and disappearing again that provide HWID spoofers.
A HWID spoofer is basically just a piece of software that spoofs (=fakes) the serial numbers of certain hardware to random numbers. This allows users who are HWID banned on their actual hardware to play games, in which they are hwid banned in, again, and prevents cheaters from getting HWID banned at all if they always use a spoofer while cheating. Since things like the harddrive serials can not be changed permanently, spoofers use kernel drivers that need to be reloaded everytime when the user restarts his Windows.
Since HWID spoofers use ring0 drivers, they can and do get detected by BE and EAC as well. Because of that, there is quite a big competition among HWID spoofer providers. And of course, they also advertise their spoofers here on epvp. However, since there is no section for spoofers, they just create threads in all game sections that their spoofer works for.
This results in things like this:

This guy made 6 (!) threads for the exact same product in different sections. And this is just one example, in some BM sections there are nearly more threads on spoofers than on actual game-related stuff (accounts, cheats,...).

I know, different games require different spoofers because they blacklist different things. But among the BattlEye games, almost all games (R6S, DayZ, Arma 3, EFT, PUBG, Scum, H1Z1 + Apex as well) ban the exact same thing (harddrive serials) and among the EAC games Rust and Fortnite can be considered the only "exceptions" because they ban a lot of additional stuff (especially Fortnite).
In my opinion, it would be easy for HWID spoofer providers to state which games their spoofer was developed for in the title of their epvp thread. In general, a seperate section for HWID spoofers could have a lot of advantages:
- Users are able to compare the quality/price of different spoofers between each other much easier
- Users who are only looking for a HWID spoofer can find one way faster because there is a seperate section for it
- The Blackmarket sections for the games that I named above only contain threads that are actually related to the game, making it easier for people who browse a certain section but aren't even interested in a HWID spoofer
- Providers for HWID spoofers can find customers easier because they don't have to fight with cheat and account sellers about their thread position.
- Scammers can be identified way easier because all customers of a provider give feedback in the same thread
- Higher income for elitepvpers because 3 additional sticky bumps can be sold
- More website traffic because people that google for HWID spoofers will find the correct section directly instead of single threads
- Designated moderators can be selected that have better knowledge on how HWID spoofer work, what is important and how a legit or unlegit provider looks
There are probably way more arguments for it but against it as well. Taking everything into consideration I think that epvp would definitely profit from that change though. It can be done in no time, makes the whole forum more structured, helps people to find what they are actually looking for and even brings additional income.
Please stay friendly even if you disagree with my idea, this is just something that came to my mind and I had to write it down. Please also share your ideas on this with me.
Thanks
