Sockets have been in SRO since anyone can remember... but they can barely be seen being utilized anywhere. As one of the most underappreciated features of the game, we at Cronos decided to pioneer yet again and craft our own custom system to make sockets fair & accessible to all! You can find all the information regarding sockets below.
What are sockets?
Sockets are items can be bound onto weapons & equipment that provide additional passive and active boosts to your character. Each socket has 3 different levels. The higher the socket level, the higher the stat boost. When you bind a socket to an item, you will randomly be assigned a level from 1 to 3. If you did not get the desired level, you can destroy your socket and open the slot on your item - and attempt to use a new socket by:
Destruction Rondos can be used to de-bind a socket from an item and free the associated socket slot. The maximum amount of socket slots per item is [3]. Destruction Rondos can be purchased from any Grocery Dealer NPC!
How can sockets be obtained?
Sockets can be purchased from "Socket Dealer Aika" in Jangan. You will need "Tokens of Dungeon" which can be dropped in any dungeon instance (see "Dungeons" section for more info).
How do sockets work?
Purchase a "Magic Stone of Sockets" from the Grocery Dealer NPC in any town.
Once you have acquired the stone(s), you can open socket slots on your items. Sockets can ONLY be used on your WEAPON and SET (6 equipment pieces).
Press the "Y" key on your keyboard to open the alchemy window. On the left-hand side of the alchemy window, two buttons can be seen. Select the bottom button named "Socket Alchemy."
Drag and drop your item into the slot, press "Make Socket," and select one of the "closed" slots.
Now, you can use your desired socket on your item! Drag and drop the socket onto the now-opened slot and bind it. Simple, right?

Fortress war is fun! That's exactly the reason we want all kinds of players to be able to enjoy it. Cronos 2023 will have all kinds of fortress wars available, for solo players, for solo guilds, and for crowded unions to enjoy!
Available Fortresses.There will be two classic fortresses available in Cronos: Hotan & Solo. Hotan will be the main fortress area where big unions will fight for the crown of Cronos 2023.
Solo Players Fortress War.We have developed a brand new Fortress War for all the solo players out there! We know that guilds aren't meant for everyone. We want every single player in Cronos to be able to experience the joy of the intense fortress battles, regardless of their status! The fortress consists of 3 different towers and 1 main heart. Player names, guild names & pets won't be shown inside the fortress area to make sure the fight will be fair for everyone. Additionally, all players will have the Fortress War avatar automatically equipped once they teleport inside of the fortress!
Process:
1.) First off, you must destroy the "Poison Tower."
2.) Secondly, destroy the "Lightning Tower."
3.) Next, destroy the "Freezing Tower."
4.) Finally, the heart will then spawn, and you will be able to attack it after 180 seconds.
Rewards:
1. Each tower kill will grant the killer 100 Silk.
2. The player to destroy the heart will be the winner of the war, and will receive 1,000 silk as well as the special Solo Fortress War ownership icon.
3. Each player kill inside the fortress area will grant you 3 Honor Point.
Dungeons have always been a prevalent feature of Silkroad, both in the official and private variants of servers. They are the perfect way for anybody to enjoy new and fresh PVE content! From uniques, to questing, to hunting, dungeons have it all. Cronos has always been a PVE-heavy server in addition to the massive PVP fights that can be witnessed at any moment. We want every type of player to engage in content that they enjoy doing!
NOTE: Premium is required to be able to join Dungeons. (Will be activated on second weekly update)

Jobbing was always the most iconic concept of Silkroad. It's debatably why this game is still active to this day; therefore, it was obvious that it needed some special modifications here! Jobbing was and will continue to be a major part of Cronos gameplay, and we are constantly working on improving it for a more competitive & enjoyable experience.
Guild Names in Job Mode:As mentioned previously in this thread, by popular demand, we have created a system to show your guild above your job alias. See this system in action in the "Special Features" portion of the thread!
Restrictions:
In order to ensure the fairest environment for jobbing, we have implemented the restrictions mentioned below.
Return Scrolls:
1.) All kinds of instant returns scrolls are disabled while wearing a job suit. Fight until the end, don't try to escape!
2.) In order to avoid the repeated use of Reverse Return Scrolls to avoid fights or whatnot, Reverse Return Scrolls have a cooldown of 90 seconds in Job Mode.
Character Limits in Job Status:
Cronos has one of the most advanced anti-cheat detection systems developed to date. We strongly advise that you do not attempt to bypass any limitations. It is highly likely you will fail, and a permanent ban is your reward.In an effort to avoid potential abuse and an unfair environment for our loyal players, we have limited the number of characters that you can have in Job Mode simultaneously. You are only permitted to have [1] character with job suit equipped per HWID (PC) & [2] characters with job suit equipped per IP.
Job Levels:Cronos has an extremely unique job level system, and it is important that you completely understand the system to avoid any confusion.
The maximum job level you can attain in Cronos is 20.
From levels 1~7, you level up with classic Job EXP (trading, selling goods, etc.)
From levels 8~20, you level up with Job Kills!
1 Kill = 2 Points.
1 Death = -0.5 Points.
1 Level Up = 100 Points.
You can keep track of the current amount of points you have from the Job Analysis window on the Main Menu!
Job Rank:Your hard work jobbing does not go unnoticed at Cronos! For every 2 job levels, your job rank will increase by 1. Rep your level with a special crest that appears over your character while in job mode!

Wanted System!Designed for the infamous - the "Wanted System" has been in Cronos since day 1. Server after server, we have been constantly improving upon and editing it to perfection. It truly gives a new level of competition to jobbing in general.
Bounties.
Each wanted level will have its very own bounty associated with it. Killing a wanted player will grant you an amount of gold depending on his/her wanted level. This gold won't be taken from the player who dies, but will be given from the system itself! Feel like a cowboy in the wild west!
Buff Rewards.
Consecutive job kills on different players without dying will grant you a helpful buff - if you manage to reach one of the killing sprees mentioned below. Are you up for the challenge?

Discord Rich PresenceWith Cronos brand new rich presence, you are able to rep the server and show off your statistics such as your character name, location, level, and much more - without doing a single thing! Cronos integrated DLL will automatically display this information in any Discord client that is detecting running on the same PC as the client. Cronos is the first ever Silkroad server to introduce additional buttons to our rich presence.
Title Achievement SystemWe have managed to integrate the infamous "achievement" system into our server. Show off your most valiant accomplishments in the server with an additional "title" that will be displayed next to your character name! These achievement titles can be used alongside a regular title. Cronos is the very first VSRO server to introduce this system..
New Reverse optionsYet another innovation by Cronos - we have managed to update Reverse Return Scrolls to include the two additional features that are implemented in ISRO's reverse system. Now, you will be able to 1.) move to the location of a desired party member and 2.) register custom locations that you can designate yourself and immediately teleport to. These features are not kept behind an annoying paywall - they will be available in Cronos normal Reverse Return Scrolls. No "special" bs.
Colored GlobalsThe traditional chat does not have a lot of variation... after a few of the same types of messages, the chat starts to all look the same! Devil & Avatar - Gender SwitcherJust like gear, we think that avatars & devils deserve to have a gender switch as well! It's annoying when there is a specific avatar, or a fancy devil with your desired plus that you want to purchase... but you can't because of the gender restriction. No longer do you have to worry about such a scenario! Cronos will be introducing this special type of gender switch tool to the server! In addition to that, the transformation is done live - it does not require a teleport/relog!
DancesDancing in Silkroad???? Something that was presumed impossible for decades has been achieved and delivered in Cronos 2023 - custom animations have been added to the game. What could be more gratifying than dancing on the bodies of your defeated opponents? Trigger your enemies by dancing on their corpses! Get hyped!
Instant Model SwitchersSimilarly to the gender switch tool, you will now be able to modify the degree design of your weapon without needing to teleport or relog! Everything is modified in one simple click.
NOTE: Model Switchers do not provide any advantage to the user whatsoever. It is purely a visual change.
Guild Name Visibility in Job StatusMany people requested this special feature, to be able to see their guild names in the job mode, so they can recognize each other even if in opposing leagues without the inconvenience of looking at a guild tag for every target. Now, you can avoid killing your guild mates, and also catch fake namers with ease!
Item ComparisonIt grows tiring when you are consistently switching between items to see the differences between them. Here at Cronos, we have implemented the ISRO Item Comparison system to destroy this hassle once and for all! You can compare the stats between items with one easy click. The procedure is simple: hold the "CTRL" key down while hovering over the item you would like to compare your current equipped item to!
Specific Unique Death LocationIt becomes exhausting when you need to PM the killer of a unique to determine its spawn point. No longer must you worry about such an inconvenience. At Cronos, the exact region name will be stated on the death of every unique, rather than just the broad location.
Unique Target MarkerThe target of the unique will now be displayed above the head of the target. This will be particularly helpful in uniques with high damage that you want to avoid being hit by!
ISRO Alchemy TechniqueYou can perform alchemy non-stop now! Instead of needing to continually drag stones, elixirs, lucky powder etc. to the slot of the alchemy GUI, it will now remain static and stay in place until removed. Do alchemy like a madman with just one click, time after time after time!
ISRO Buff-line SpaceIt's the little things that make a difference. Your experience in Cronos will feel even more traditional & original as we have implemented the gap between your character overview and your buff-line. So visually appealing!
Custom NotificationsWe managed to make our own custom notifications along with unique colors for special notifications & events.
Unique Damage Counter.We have adjusted our unique damage counter to appear for all players of the server once any unique dies. It will give the exact damage amount that the top 8 players dealt on any specific unique. No longer will you have to wonder about how close you were to beating your rival... or they were to beating you!
Gold Commas & ColorsYou no longer need to worry about double-checking your entry for stalls or even selling/buying from NPCs! The gold amounts have been colorized & commas will be embedded automatically!
New Berserker Effects:You are now able to change the appearance of your berserker animation with Ruby's all-new berserk masks. In addition to the traditional suit of flames engulfing your body, you will now be able to morph beyond your character into an array of exotic creatures! A delightful touch, aye?
Instant Cape Equip (Event Areas)Cheating out of cape is not a possibility anymore, and you do not need to deal with the annoying yellow bar animation that appears while equipping a PVP cape! Upon entering any event area, your PVP cape will be automatically & instantly equipped.
AFK BubblesYou're now able to determine if a user is away from the game with one quick glance. Users who have not performed any actions for a certain amount of time will have the bubble animation appear over their character!
Title Recoloring ScrollsYou can now customize your character even further! You can colorize your in-game title with 13 different color choices!
Item Linking in ALL Chat TypesYou've seen global item linking, but Cronos is always pushing barriers and innovating even further. In Cronos 2023, you will have the ability to link your items in every form of chat (all, global, union, guild, party, and academy). Cronos is the very first VSRO server to introduce this feature.
Stall Network [F]Save your time running from stall to stall in town. Just search for the specific item you need in Cronos custom stall network! Upon registering an item to a stall, it is also automatically registered to the stall network. Each town has its own stall network. To access the stall network, press the [F] key on your keyboard, and the window will appear!

Saturday EventsGet ready to spice up your weekend with the ultimate gaming experience! We know that Saturdays are sacred and that's why we're taking it up a notch in Cronos. We've decided to make it a special day filled with thrilling events and incredible rewards that will keep you hooked all day long!
We're talking about three epic events that will have you on the edge of your seat:
First up is the Unique event, where you'll have the chance to go head-to-head with other players and claim the ultimate prize. Next, brace yourself for the PvP event, where you'll test your skills against the best players in Cronos. And last but not least, we're bringing back the classic game of Hide and Seek, where the ultimate reward awaits the best hider.
But hold on, there's more! If we see that there's room for more events, we'll make sure to add them to our list of Saturday specials. And to make it even more exciting, the events will be hosted by none other than our GMs and the rewards? Let's just say they'll be in both Silk and REAL MONEY!

Styria Clash!Prepare for an intense and thrilling event like never before! You'll be split into two teams and compete against each other to prove who's the ultimate warrior. But this won't be any ordinary battle - your goal is to eliminate as many enemies as possible to score points for your team. But that's not all, powerful boxes scattered around the battlefield will grant you an insane amount of points if you can slay them. And if that's not enough, the mighty uniques that roam the battlefield are worth a huge amount of points - so make sure you take them down! Will you rise to the top and become the ultimate victor of this epic event?
Rewards:
1. 100 Silks for each player in the winning team.
Defend The Tower.
Once this event starts those registered will be teleported on the event area. The rules are pretty simple, you have to destroy enemy's tower!
Event Process.
1. Players will be split into 2 teams, Red and Blue.
2. Each team will have a tower.
3. Players will have a period of time to do buffs.
4. Once that period ends, you will be able to attack.
5. Team up, defend your tower and destroy enemy's tower.
6. First team to destroy enemy's tower will get rewarded.
Kill The TowerOnce this event starts those registered will be teleported on the event area. The rules are pretty simple, you have to destroy the tower!
Event Process.
1. Players will be split into 2 teams, Red and Blue.
2. Each team will be spawned on a side.
3. Players will have a period of time to do buffs.
4. Once that period ends, you will be able to attack.
5. Team up, and destroy the tower!
6. First team to destroy the tower will get rewarded.

Valor AreaAre you ready for the ultimate battle in Valor Arena? This randomized event will pit you against three other teams, and it's up to you and your team to destroy the competition. We've designed this event to be perfectly balanced, so you can be sure that every team has a fair shot at victory. As the battle rages on, the system will eliminate the team with the lowest number of kills every few minutes, until only two teams remain. And when the dust settles, the final showdown will take place in the center of the arena, where a towering structure awaits. The team that manages to destroy the tower will emerge victorious and claim their well-deserved prize. Get ready to experience the ultimate test of skill and teamwork in the Valor Arena!
Rewards:
- 100 Silks for each one from the winning team!
Rival Arena.Once the event starts monsters will spawn inside the event area. You can teleport inside the event area by using the Event Portal. All players will have their PvP Cape equipped automatically upon teleportation.
Event Process.
1. Many Slow Slaves (giving zerk) will spawn.
2. [INT]Rage Cloud will be spawned as well as 10x [INT]Cute Little Bears.
3. Once they die a new wave of Snow Slaves will be spawned.
4. Then [STR]White Tiger will be spawned as well as 10x [STR]Cute Foxes.
5. Once they die the event will end.
Rewards.
1. [INT]Rage Cloud: 50 Silks, 5 Activity Tokens
2. [INT]Cute Little Bear: 10 Silks.

Survival Arena GuildGet ready for the ultimate guild showdown in the Cronos 2023 Guild Survival Arena! Battle it out with your guild mates and prove that your guild is the strongest of them all. With intense competition and thrilling battles, this arena will take your gameplay to the next level. Don't miss this opportunity to show off your skills and dominate the competition. Join forces with your guild members and prepare for an unforgettable experience in the Guild Survival Arena.
Rewards:
Winning Guild will be getting 250 Silk each player!
Ghost Slayer.Once this event starts those registered will be teleported on the event area. The event is pretty similar to LMS, you have to survive! However, this is not a typical LMS event.
Event Process.
1. Players will have a period of time to do buffs.
2. Once that period ends, everyone will turn invisible.
3. Dependent on participants count, amount of players will turn visible every 8 seconds.
4. Last player to survive will get rewarded.
Rewards.
1. 150 Silks.
Drunk Monster.Once this event starts those registered will be teleported on the event area. The rules are pretty simple, you have to survive! Event area will contain drunk monsters with super high damage, they will one-shoot anybody literally. If you're dead, you're out! Last player to survive will get rewarded.
Rewards.
1. 150 Silks.
Trivia.Questions will be asked, the first player to find the correct answer and send it to the Trivia BOT will win the round.
Reward.
1. Winning a round will grant you 50 Silks.
Hide & Seek.The BOT will hide on a randomly generated secret location and then will announce that the event starts. All you need is to find the BOT and then send an exchange request. You will receive help via notices regarding the location. The event consists of 3 different rounds.
Reward.
1. Winning one round will grant you 150 Silks.
Kill the GMKTG BOT will appear in Jangan South Gate. All you need to do is equip your PvP cape and start attacking it. The winner is the player to last hit the BOT and not the player who dealt the most damage. We did this to ensure all players will have fair chances on winning. The event will consist of 3 rounds.
Reward.
1. Winning one round will grant you 125 Silks.
Lucky Party Number.You will be asked to form a certain party number in order to win on this event. Once the party number asked has been created the event will end and the winner will be announced. However, be careful forming a job party won't count!
Reward.
1. Winning this event will grant you 100 Silks.
Search & Destroy.Once this event starts uniques will be spawned on random unique spawns all over the map. Some hints regarding each unique location will also be announced. To win all you need to do is find uniques and kill them!
Reward.
1. Killing one unique will grant you 75 Silks.
Last Man Standing.Once this event starts those registered will be teleported on the event area. The rules are pretty simple, you have to survive! Last player to survive will get rewarded.
Rewards.
1. 150 Silks.
