Biggest failure with high expectations
My friends and I wanted to try out Acromus after not playing SRO for a decade.
After reading the thread and joining the discord it seemed really nice and we were hyped!
Then we started to download the client from their homepage and it was weird, full of viruses...
Their support kept telling me that those are false positives and that it's a common thing for the antivirus to mark them as a threat, which sounds just wrong to me...
We still decided to keep going and joined their grand opening at friday, same night one of my friends said that he has seen some bug on someones stream about duping certain items and we tried it ourselves. Long story short, that was the result:
It's not even worth to keep playing, we decided to leave the server right away at Saturday. Today, Sunday, I rechecked about the overall situation on the server and not gonna lie, we left for good...

Hello, first of all I would like to apologize for your bad experience in the server. We look into everybody’s complaints and criticisms in order to make Acromus more entertaining for everyone.
First of all, regarding the virus situation - yes; these are false positives caused by information that our custom DLL is using (identification of your PC to enforce bans and limit restrictions) and also the packed client. The client applications (silkroad.exe and sro_client.exe) are original JOYMAX exes and not a cause to worry whatsoever. Flagging is normal and you will experience it in almost every server that you join (that has custom protection & limits).
To prevent the spread of these errors, we have been trying to get our DLL whitelisted by Microsoft. Our request is currently pending, so within a couple weeks, this issue should be totally resolved.
Regarding the gold dupe - yes, this was an issue in the grand opening. After we discovered it, we immediately took the server down for maintenance and patched the bug. We traced the abusers and removed all of the gold that they received as a benefit of abusing this bug, and also a harsh warning about bug abuse. Abuse is completely against all Acromus policies - the reporter was rewarded and the abusers were punished. We are always on top of the critical bugs and issues that appear! Acromus is a first time server - there will certainly be bugs that appear out of nowhere that we’re not detected before, but we are always here to fix them immediately.
Finally, regarding the party matching situation - for sure you took this image while the server was fresh off of a restart. As you can see in towns, the server is very active and everyone is participating in events!
We would be more than happy to provide a direct screenshot from the SMC for Acromus’ shard to prove that the count is real. We have no reason to fake anything. Acromus is a first time server and we have already experienced great success. We will also be pushing an update very soon to implement many of the communities suggestions.

I also had some hope for this server but when i see this.. Its another fail.
Only 2 parties. Also i think on website players online status are fake. There are maybe 300-400 players online.
Few players only fight in job mode under hotan and its everything. 0 caravans.

Whenever you check any stream out there's literally no other activity besides that garden dungeon and forgotten world, 0 activity and as stated before not a single caravan running at all.
And yeah, playercount... "they still leveling up" for how long? next 3 weeks? Server is as dead as it can be, big waste of time.
Either way Ghostusers are being involved or idk wtf the issue is, but there's literally 0 activity in any of their events.
Admins
Their team is very unprofessional, joining some players voice quite often sharing sensitive information about upcoming patches. Been watching a stream in which Ruger told a small group not to go for alchemy ~ 1 hour later the server went for their update increasing alchemy rates...
Admins stating that they listen to their community and communicate with them and that's why they sit several hours a day in voice with the same kind of group? Alright...
No balance, Bugs
And lets not forget that their skill balancing is still being worked on a week after GO, builds being completely useless and others completely overtuned.. Single bard dancing? Warlock being completely unusable due to Disease applying once every 10th try and much more...
After few days after G.O. finally some daily quests arrived! Oh wait they are bugged...
The whole project feels too rushed and is not worth your time! The pSRO scene definitely needs more competition next to Electus but that one is definitely not the competition you seek for, more of a joke...
I got banned for good, false accusation but for good. Henry if you answer to this post try not to dig into my ban too much, the above mentioned points have valid points you cant deny.
