Archlord officially doesn't support a windowed mode.
Open the file COption.ini in your Archlord/ini folder with notepad. The second and third lines define the height and width you want to run Archlord in. Normally this states the last resolution you've run the game in. Now change these to a resolution that doesn't 'exist' on your system. lower your ingame rsolution (for example for 1280x1024 to 1024x768)
minimize yor game using task manger
switch your windows settings back (to 1280x1024)
bring the game back up (should be running in a window)
