Well sorry, I did not read the whole thread, but its kinda funny how ppl acually react for this.
At least half of the community is leecher, I mean they are enjoying the service but they have no idea about that someone was working hard to make 'em the service/emu.
And it's not about payin the whole fee we could share it as the topic starter said.

Another interesting thing is when two of the 'developers' are arguing about who's work it is. I mean you should team up and make us a hella awesome emu. Of course it is kinda irrational since time is money and no one would pay their job because of the fact I've just wrote earlier in this post.

I do not know this Pax guy so I cannot tell what would be his reaction after getting the payment but I do not think that he would leg it/run. I do not say that they will be able to make a real-sro-like emu, but I believe that they can improve it.

I think it is easier to call Pax a **** and using his or whoever's emu instead of giving him what he deserve, admission(+money in this case).
And just think about that how much time did you play with SEA Emu or how much time did the members of this community played with it.

Pax will continue coding his emu for sure (quietly) coz it's already half way. His previous messages to us about stop coding his emu is just a lie imo. If he really does that then he's stupid.

That happened by someone else even before lyzerk started his job.

You people just dont notice that there have been a lot of good developers doing stuff before and released that information for free, yet you claim the work as yours.

why you cant accept that this way to emulate is NOT good. Making an "Emu" is same like making an complete Game, the difference is that in an Emu you doesn't have DirectX / Draw Stuff.

Building an Emu isn´t just handle some Packets. -.-

Whats with walking? Whats with Town? Whats with Objects? we can walk into a Stone ...Monster KI? just making a timer who checks if there is an Player? No.

I know there were lots of good developers that contributed to the projects open source and freely, without asking for something. And those people should be honoured imho. But still he did work on it and even tho his work got cracked he's staying polite, so I just think a little respect and reacting polite as well would be the right way to follow.
Btw he even wanted to make this an open source project, but since he only had 14 posts in here, he got pruned by everbody...just as a little annotation

I know that an emu is more than handling packets, and I never said his Emulator would have been the best ever, but his Emulator, is the most functional public released emulator.
And yes I know, Navmesh etc should be implemented but still he did whatever he could, and that should be respected and not threated the way it was.

actually nobody can prove if it's a real GPL violation, so i think we should stop talking about it, since it's just causing problems...

and well 200€/Month... Shiva aprox. gets 2000€/month for sbot..yet phbot really becomes better than sbot, since it gets updated almost dailie and shiva didn't even reactive CL mode yet...
Yet 200€/Month from all psro players would be a price that's pretty much ok if he really puts as much effort into it as he says.
Although I personally think, that if he runs a server + adds donation he could get the same income as well...

+ It's kinda simple to see that it's sremu just by looking at it, ini's for accounts? excel database, better yet that most of that database is from dsremu? I mean c'mon. It's so simple.

Sremu database =unpacked pk2 files owner of those files are joymax company.Jmerlin trying to claim copyright to illegal software.Connect between client and joymax server are illegal (read joymax rules). So packet sniffing its illegal Jomax have that rule in rules.So all data in emulator are illegal.I dont claim copyrights to my software thats why i cant make anything with cracks .I can say only this is my private work and its not funny jmerlin sremu , thats all.
