This community doesn't work for developing emulators.
You can see that (almost) all emulators failed. The only emus that are still alive are Lyzerk's emu, eSRO, CSREMU and SREMU (C++).
Lyzerk's emu, eSRO and SREMU (C++) started closed source and now CSREMU is also closed source.
I don't see people spamming about those servers a lot, they made a lot of progress tho.
Conclusion: This thread will fail (99% sure), it's not the fault of TS, it's the fault of the community: noobs (including leechers) and spammers.
I will give a random member of this team $10.000 if this emu is still alive in two months.
(I'm not really going to do that, just saying that because I am sure that it will fail)

Well thanks for your concern.
I did some more research on the emulators you where talking about, most of them i already followed up. Now i have nothing against a project in C++ ..

but VB ?
Either C++ or java, an "oo" language is suitable for the job in my honest opinion.
Now i would like to point out why we need this project to become something real.
-currect emulators "seem" to be more like an I wanna do it without too much help
-its like its a vague dream for years now
-i do not see how you can configure it currently (finetune) to suit your needs.
-there seems to be too lil consistency to rely on, i mean we need to have a server a database and a configuration option
The point is, how well is all this currently available stuff suited to set up a real server without legal isseus.
To the people already working on projects! Bravo, very brave. But can't there be more consistency? make a bigger team? Personally i have too little info to really say something about it

so i wont flame but from what ive seen and read and tested i cannot really make sense how it would be easy and available to a broader public, basically because its not finished.. i understand that
Im just starting to doubt after some years... what will become of all of this, i wanna play before i die not in some reincarnation
Maybe i am totally wrong here but than again, there is some lack of information flow about silkroad emulation in general and im not talking about elitepvpers but in general
Current status:
2 programmers have joined
2 Eager to learn fellas want to help with other tasks that come with it.
next i will make a list of things i wish to make configurable to show that this project would really add something of value
cheers
