How is everyone doing?

It's been a long time since I last posted here, or even remembered the 2FA information for my account, as every year I have to post another complaint to get it removed

I remember I started this game officially back in 2006, back then I was a 9 year old clueless kid with no idea of what would eventually transpire. I found my love for RPG's through Silkroad, I acquired a particular music taste (Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park) through OG Silkroad PvP and unique hunting videos, something I still listen to to this day.

Fast forward, I'm now 27 years old, still living in the UK, full-time job and two young daughters. How is everyone else doing? It'd be great to see some old names pop up for a catch-up. I have met countless characters over the years, mainly through ElitePvPers, ECSRO (VIP and Fembria) and MHTC. I do not currently play SRO due to commitments, however I would be welcome to try it again if the opportunity arises.

Hello Callum, I don't think you'll know me since I wasn't that active in epvp but I do remember you, at least your epvp profile. I'm known as SGA mostly by servers made by me like Excalibur Online.

I started the game in December 2007 a friend of mine forced me to start it I was like 12~13 years old. As he suggested I created a glaive char and I wasn't even knowing there are skills in the game or which stats to give. I made my char lvl 19 with just normal attack. Before Silkroad I wasn't knowing about MMORPG genre, it blew my mind that 3500 people are playing one game and it's like a living world, a fire inside me started to burn.

But the illusion disappeared so fast in like 2009 I was dreaming creating of my server, I worked in emulator projects, but it become real in 2011 once the VSRO files got leaked. I always tried to recreate the original sro experience unlike most other servers. They were trying to change the Silkroad with huge edits etc. I tried so many times but my most successful project was Excalibur. In 2017 I stopped making servers too and since 7 years I'm far away from SRO but still check what's going on in the Silkroad forums.

I lived all my life in Europe but in 2022 I went to Kyrgyzstan as tourist and I liked Kyrgyzstan so much. This year married with a Kyrgyz girl and I'm mostly in Kyrgyzstan.
Soon I do plan starting to visit real places from the Silkroad game in real life with my wife.

Long time have passed, but the Silkroad fire is still burning inside me. You started an incredible thread, I'd like to hear the stories of other people too.

It's certainly been some years. I may come back to play from time to time. I need a new side hobby :-o

It's a nightmare. I switch mobile phones often (especially due to work) and having to change the numbers messes with the 2FA I give it another 3 months

May be hard for some to believe but I'm turning 31 this year, still studying programming but living a chill work-from-home life in digital marketing, distributing ads.

You've got me wishing it was 2006 again.

My brother introduced me to SRO back in 2005 or 2006, all I know is that I was 11 years old.
Fun thing is that I acquired a similar taste in music through Youtube videos aswell.
After having spent a few years in iSro (and dropping a d8 sosun glaive which I still remember vividly to this day) I found ECSRO from which my pserver journey took off from.

Today I'm closing in on 30 years of age and I'm working as an automotive diagnostic technician, and the little spare time I have left when my kid has gone to sleep is spent in either iRacing or trying to become one with my sofa.
However, I am here today as my Silkroad itch is back and to have a look if there are any pservers worth checking out.
My expectations are low though, but every once in a while a great server according to my preferences comes along.

Good to see you're doing well! You probably do not know me but I wanted to share a funny story that includes you. I'm turning 26 this year, I work as a game dev. Anyway, many years ago me and my cousin we were about 13 years old, and we both had setup a very small private server and it was out first time actually making money, especially online, it wasn't much, only a few bucks, but we were not used to that at all as kids. Anyway you exploited our server to death, we couldn't understand a thing to protect it, the funny part is you were commenting on our server's thread, and my cousin said that once he gets home he will fix it, then you replied "Challenge accepted". he got home and couldn't do ****. we still laugh at the story to this day.

I've started my SRO journey also in 2005 and changed pretty fast to russian SRO and then pSRO.

Now 32 years old and my gaming time is getting less and less.
We are expecting our first child next month, which means my computer will probably be dusted.
Still had epvp in my Chrome favourites, so I had to check out if it still works
