How to Setup Silkroad Bot VPS

I'm playing on this Private Server and I was planning on botting multiple characters, but there's a PC Limit. I only have one PC so I thought about buying a VPS and when I set it all up, the server seems to be counting the clients open in the VPS and in my Primary PC as one and so I can't open more than the PC limit with my pc and vps combined. Based on what I understand about VPS, its a completely different PC or server hosted somewhere else and has its own HWID, IP, and Mac Address and so I really don't understand why the server would count all clients open as one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also tried OVH and I still get the same problem.

I'm going to guess you copied your SRO folder directly from your PC to the VPS?

If so, one of the basic things people do is save HWID identifying information into the game files somewhere, so you can associate different accounts/machines to the same person (via the original installation made for that person).

If you buy a new VPS, and install a fresh copy of the game on it, then it would be as you'd expect, since the VPS has its own hwid/ip/mac, so it should not get associated with your desktop pc. There would be no way to associate the VPS install with your desktop install.

Depending on the hwid system, you should never login your account to different machines, because you're then creating the association between all the PCs you're using and all the accounts connected.

While I'm not sure of the extent of whatever server you're playing is doing, these things are common in online gaming, so you should always be aware of stuff like this if you're trying to bypass client limitations and stuff.

Many HWID detection softwares automatically block VPS's and dedicated servers based on their identifier values to avoid exactly what you are trying to do (they are automatically identified and blocked based on some factors, the specifics depends on which DLL the server is using). It's unlikely that the "limit is being shared," and more likely that your VPS is automatically blocked.

I suggest you to close all clients on your main PC and try to open a client on the VPS to test this theory.

If it does not open on the VPS while all clients are off on your main PC, then what I have said above is the case.

Thanks for the advice guys! I talked to the Dev of the server, and it seems that the HWID of the VPS I'm using is the same HWID I have on my PC which stops me from opening more characters.

I installled a Fresh copy of the game on the VPS, but I did copy the bot files with the config of each character I have, probably shouldnt have done that. I'll try to reinstall vps and try new characters and see what happens.

I did talk to the Owner and he told me VPS is allowed which is still weird cause in my case I can't use it to open more characters.

I'll try what you guys said and I'll let you know what happens!
