Looking for Testers

Hello All

OK .... so where to start ?... what we are looking for is a few players who are either very well seasoned players or a small group that is willing to try out a different kind of silkroad server that is probably unlike anything you have seen before or if you have seen something like it im sure it was so full of bugs and unplayable it was not enjoyable , anyways.... this is not a brand new server its actually been up and running for a very long time and i had turned it off due to problems with players and issues we were working on but now finally going to reopen it with TON'S of new features and we need some help testing some things that we do not have time to test everything the way a bunch of testers can , HOWEVER during this time you will be allowed to test out everything as it is but once all the testing is over there will be a total reset to start everyone out brand new "BUT" all the testers will get a little something extra for helping out and those that become very helpful....who knows ...lol

i wont go into details in here because i know everyone will go nuts about it once its finally released but we need help testing and creating the release forum once its ready if anyone who wants to help with that too .

We will also take into consideration any and all input or idea's on how to make it better as we go and will hopefully have an awesome server , i know the first thing everyone is going to ask is > "CASH or FREE" , yes its 100% totally free i have been paying for the server myself for over 7 years for me and my friends but we are finally ready to consider opening it up to everyone again .

I doubt somebody who has such a limited understanding of the English language could provide something so utterly spectacular that we would 'go nuts'.

You're supposed to post whatever is going on with your server so people can see before signing up to your testing.

Do you expect people to take your word for it and ''i wont go into details in here because i know everyone will go nuts'' will be enough to make people participate?

well that is your choice to think and believe what you want , but the reason i did not or will not say is because i have been around long enough to know that if i do post it people will will only sign up and download the client so they can tear it apart to steal all the hard work i have put into it .

P.S. i should have mentioned it before that it is full English and all testers need to be able to speak and understand English so we can all understand each other to fix any small bugs and be able to tell me what they are and what is or is not working , a few have already messaged me already and i can see that will be a problem....thanks

yeah i know it will be taken when it goes live and thats ok , i just want it to be a big surprise when it is finally ready ...lol , i have seen allot of servers on here start up run for 2 or 3 months then fail because its all about money and i dont want that for mine , i just want it to be fun and challenging and a fun place to hang out with friends and i may not ever take it live , i dont know yet until i can get it all tested and all the small bugs worked out , i got all the big ones fixed and tons of new features but i kind of want to keep it small for now , make no sense to most but to me it does ...lol

and it's cool that you're looking to start up a server which isn't donation based, but you're offering testers

all the testers will get a little something extra for helping out

for a server that isn't even 100% going to open?

extra as in gear or items on startup , not money ....lol and yes it may or may not open depending on if it is worth the time and effort to get more players , if not then i will just keep it private for me and my friends and those that bring others to it . and as for starting a sever its been up and running for about 6 or 7 years now but it has always only been private . but when or if i decide to open it fully to the public then i will need someone who has the knowledge of doing a proper release page in here so that would help .....lol

I'm sorry but to my concern, the only thing that might've caught the interest you're implying on this thread was opening a server with the most up to date isro server files, and while we have sailor currently running, i doubt anything could be considered special anymore, compared to isro-r files, all other files and considered obsolete and no matter what features you're talking about, they will remain kinda "normal" to most of the players you're talking to here, we've almost seen everything in vsro currently, global chat item linking, custom gui, totally new created systems and old heavily modified systems, i doubt you can actually bring anything more than that except if you're talking about a source code and arabian characters implementation but i doubt it can even happen if you have the source since creating the character models/renders will be even harder than cracking the source open, and to be honest, i never heard of a server that has been running the 6~7 years and has always been "private", like who would purchase/rent a vps and pay every month to open a server for "himself and his friends" ? either mention some of the features you're talking about, or you had better keep it private. and good luck

Always wanted to run a free jsro server on it... Never found the time and mood to actually do it... Now the box is running for that amount of time, and only a little mailserver and a few tasklets are running on that box. And... I'm still paying for it.. Month after month. Do I need it? nah, Will I host a SRO server some day? Probably not. Will I cancel the server? Don't think so...
So, those 20 don't hurt me. The purpose was to offer an always-free-sro server for everyone - but seeing how spoiled and rude the SRO community has become, I decided to not host it anymore. For friends only to have a nice time alone. But not for the mass.
