UNABLE TO PATCH NPROTECT should be there i think, read the readme from the csremu
The hoster of the server cant make other people connect unless he changes hes serversocket IP to hes own in the sourcecode, it will only work over lan since its configured to 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

But hamachi is like an simulated LAN network, so you need hamachi to connect to hes server
If your "error in a weird language" contains a "9" then its becouse you cant connect to the server properly, you didnt patch your pk2 correctly or something

Solution : Wait untill theres a freespot in hes hamachi channel.

type google.nl,com,be whatsmyip


then ull see ur ip at that site download the media patcher from trb patch the ip u got
from that site and paste it in the mediapatcher patch it and u done
