They won't... Joymax will close it sooner or later... so it's pointless.

Well I spoke like few weeks ago with my chinese friend, that told me to play on official server because private server will be offline. I didn't know what he meant back there

I will find it later on QQ and post it as a prove.

I don't think so. If Joymax did decide to continue with the legal pressure on ECSRO I think "Ocean" would do himself good to just quit. As the situation looks at the moment no private servers are safe. They are taking out the strongest and then the weaker private server mainly MYSRO will be easy to trample.

I hope sooner or later a good Pserver will come back... but I guess everyone will be scared hosting one with leaked files.

And btw... I bet my *** that the same will happen to swsro so people shouldnt keep flaming on the big bad ecsro.
Everyone wants to earn money and their servers dont pay themselves...

Yup they could. But Joymax will most likely track the chinese down and confiscate all the files etc. Then the people that did get the files will most likely not even open a server because of the legal troubles that it will most likely lead to. It's a lost for people to have to battle a company as Joymax. There's no way you can win once you get into court against Joymax cause you broke all their terms of use and there trademark and registered rights.

Plus the few that do get the files will really open up a "private server" for like a few friend etc. They won't go larger scale like ECSRO did. That's just no longer plausible with all the future trouble that it'll lead to.

Do you really think leaking the files will do any harm to Joymax?

I think I have a quite good view on the MMO scene and also about PServers in general. Let's take Metin 2. A **** MMO but very popular. Anyway, everyone can get the files and GameForge (the company) sues a lot of kids every year (yea most of them are kids) and there really are tons of pservers but the game still exists and it's going well there. And that's just an example. Leaking files won't change anything for Joymax but if this whole story is true after all Pserver scene will never be the same again in SRO.
