You might consider contacting the guys who are providing the pserver you are playing on.
They probably ****** up some files, which cause loading/crashing issues (mostly noticeable that the game won't cache through the loadingscreen or will simply stop working when getting into range of the said item, which misses visual meta (particles, mesh, etc), data information, and so on).
Even a PC from 2000 can run that game on an intel duo processor, integrated graphics chips and whatnot.
