Distant connexion on private server

Hi,

I have created a private server with hamachi. It works on the computer who host the game, but when i try to connect to an other computer, the game does't work...

Do you have a solution ?

No, i will try.

So, tomorow, if i want open my private server to others guys (temporarly for few tests), i can use which IP if they want to connect without hamachi like a real server ?

they have to join your Hamachi server.
Create a Hamachi server and tell them to register aswell and to join your Hamachi server by sending them your ID and the password

just go to any website like ping.eu or google and type whatismyipaddress and replace the hamachi ip with yours

if you don't have a static ip then you shouldn't do that because dynamic ip changes every xx hours or/and in router restart, you will have to tell your friends whenever they want to play your server again to patch their client with the new ip address and you will have to change the ip address on your files

or ask your internet provider for a static ip

Now i try to connect to my public IP (i have just replace my Hamachi IP to my public IP take on ping.eu) and that doesn't work.

When i try, my CustomCertification shuts down :


CertModule>CustomCertificationServer.exe packt.dat

Exception non gérée*: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: L'adresse demandée n'est pas valide dans son contexte

à System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoBind(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress)

Need i to open differents ports to connect to my public IP ? Other problem ?

You will have to enable port forwarding in your router. It depends on the brand/model/version so you will have to google that.
