Private Server suggestion

I played since 2011 at many different Private Servers but...

Its always the same:
#1 Lv up to max cap
#2 farming SP
#3 farming items/alchemy
#4 doing alchemy
#5 people are raging for FortressWar
#6 cant find people for job, pvp, guildwars, etc. - all are botting
#7 whole server is in FW Union, newcomers dont join because of that
#9 people are leaving because of low population
#10 server get closed

*My opinion is: we need some new way to make the servers more interesting for a longer lifetime and quality.

Here some examples:
# Guild limits hardly reduce to max 16 or 24
# No Unions
# FW 1 times in a month (makes it more rare and newcomers can catch up)
# Guildwar rewards
# IP-Limit max 2
# limited Silk donations/month
# No tradeable Silkitems
# punishment for Proxy users
# No events like H&S, Uniques, etc.
# Max plus at items +7
# No advanced elixirs

*I would like to do an private server like this at my own , but hell i dont got that knowledge for it.
Maybe someone else care about the same opinions like me and also want a change of that current Private Server world.

Why only once in a month ?
Every week seems fine to me. It's like the 1 raid day in the week (at my old wow times) I'm waiting for.
Some peoples go in a bar after 5 days of work, other people enjoy mmorpg stuff

This Ip limit seems a bit unfair I have a Brother (we both have the same router) who had weird Job times some days he have to work at 7:00 AM other days at 12:00 AM for 8-10 hours straight.
So It's hard to trade our stuffs when I have to stand up 5:45 AM in the morning or go to sleep at 22:00 am - 0:00 AM (I'm not the youngest anymore).
A second mule / stall char seems fair for each person.

Max plus 7 is also a bad idea. That's one of the best thing in this game
Item fails or go +8 and you have this many feelings: anger, happinesses, joy, nervous.
This means you have to farm more for gold to buy another weapon...

This Guild limit sounds fine.

I agree with this population thing. Wanna play on a high crowded Server also, so that we can do all stuffs from Job - pvp and even ctf stuffs the whole day.

We will have two methods:
1- Mate uniques the Cave of Job / Temple of Pharaoh, drop the accessories.
2 Killing monsters level 85+ and dropping items (really hard)

EVENTS:
Friday: Medusa (20h) - Dragon Flag (6 Int / Str 6)
Saturday: ROC (20h) - Set MOON D9
Sunday: Fortress War (16h)

COMMENTS:
- Sera created two teleport to go to Job Cave (Hunter / Thief and Trade)
- SOS only drop in Job CAVE.
- To enter the roc event you need gold, much gold.
- To enter the job cave need gold, much gold.

For someone once being a high appreciated guild member of Avalon (full legit guild on iSRO), I would just + this, but the view of this according to hosting a pserver is purely ignorant. Not just against botters, but more against yourself, the one who leads/hosts/provides the server.

Botters tend to roam longer on your server, if they have something, or anything, on which they have had spent money. Legit players won't probably spend that much money, at least I haven't on iSRO (nor on any pSRO).


But yeah, botting shouldn't be doomed in this case. You simply cannot avoid it. Someone will always do shady stuff gaining this advantage, if he is willingly spending enough time on your server.

And well, you need some kinda income, upkeep, etc.

Do people really enjoy seeing a glaiver vs a blader PVP ? Do you realize it's repetitive as hell, it takes dozens of minutes and the only way to win is if you get a critical strike.

Player vs player is not supposed to end within a minute or with such ''1 hit'' regardless their build is.
yes, it could be a little bit boring for you but on the other party they will disagree .. it depends on your taste.
I could say the same with Blader versus Blader ! but again some people might enjoy it.

All I want from a server is just pure silkroad, where you can afk bot trying to get any sox and when you actually have time to play yourself you can enjoy alchemy, pvp, selling crap and just relaxing.

I don't fucking want to trade/kill/coin/reset for 3 months to get all that sun set and even if I go through that boredom who will I have to pvp against after that? How many guys actually go through that? Few...
And most certainly once few people actually grind those trades/kills/coins new comers will definitely wont find it interesting to go through the exact same 3 month path while being killed by those full farmed guys.
Why do you think global was fun no matter when you joined?
Because you couldn't just reach everything max in X amount of predetermined time, it was just luck and your skill to buy/sell and make insane alchemy to get the gold/silk to buy the sox item you wanted.
That's why you've been able to join the oldest global server and still reach awesome stuff.
Getting lucky might suck but that didn't stop people from playing and still getting insane sets. Remember the amazing feeling of waking up and seeing sun in your inventory? Even a shitty one? No private server captures that.

I'm not saying thats all that takes to make server last longer than 6? months , stupid owners, corruption and other shit kills servers too.
I'm not even talking about donate 1$ to get full sun+50, those servers should be just banned from advertisement section.

When pservers just started showing up it was awesome, why? Because they changed pretty much just the rates so you could get everything a bit faster. It was all good because servers that showed up pretty much kept this formula.
Then pserver files were released and shit went downhill so fast because people tried to "innovate", make it more "fun". Well fuck, how 300 hours of stupid trading is fun is beyond me.

Dont fix whats not broken you damn idiots... Maybe then we will get at least one pserver with a future.
