SRO Server, security, comment/private bugs and prevent server lag?
Hi guys,
I plan to open an SRO Private server and because I'm new in this business, so I don't know
how to buy a server for the best environment for this game. I've googled many times and got confused about many things, so I hope this topic will help someone new like me.
Question about SRO server
1. My prediction of the players is about ~200 - 300 players in 6 months (150 players in first three months perhaps), so what kind of server (RAM, CPU) will be able to make the game running smoothly and save money the most?
2. What type of SRO's resource server needs the most? RAM, CPU?
3. I prefer to buy a server at Google Cloud, so does server at this service can be good for SRO? I need a server inside Asia area (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia ...), so if anyone knows good services in these countries, please share for me.
Question about security
Does anyone know any protector service for SRO server like SUPERMIKE? I know only SUPERMIKE, so is this the best? Is there any others paid/free software for protecting my server under in-game attack/exploit, and which are the best? Question about bugs/recommended function
I've been collecting my 120 cap VSRO server files in the different post (not buy from anyone) and tested by myself.
I have been adding fellow pets, new Unique, Fix BEHEMOTH HP and speed, add cash stuff into NPC, fix all battle arena, capture flag, out 1s, pet running speed, pet attack skills and bunch more of work cost me hundred of working hours, but I'm not sure do I fixed all critical bugs yet?
If anyone know about any well known bug which is make game crash, lag please tell me. It is really grateful if you can point me to solutions for the problems. Question about improve game speed/prevent lag
All my working hours, I'm too busy for fix bug and add new stuff into game, so the only thing I know about reduce server lag is disable log of the databse.
Does anyone know tips or tricks for reduce server lag please tell help me. Many thanks for you and god bless you. My last words here

Does anyone have good 120 cap VSRO's server files which are can be share for me, you're my idol and I will never forget the day when you've helped me, or anyone know the place to download please tell me. Question about SRO server
1. Depending on cap and regions, normally you will be fine with 110 cap on 16GB ram and i5 processor with 4 or more cores.
2. The problem here is you need more gameservers for each cap you use or you need really low monster rate on your server.
0-90 cap - 16GB ram i5/xeon or better with 4 cores or more and 16GB ram, SSD is no need for low players.
110 cap is on the edge of needing 2 gameservers.
120 - 2x gameservers (one 12gb ram) (one 8gb ram) problem with this is that u cannot have virutal machine under the same dedicated.
140 - 2x or 3x gameservers, everything depends on the monster rate you want on your server/regions.
But normally with low players you can lower the monster count on all regions which is pretty easy todo.
Question about security
Since I am the owner of SUPERMIKE I would not recommend using it in the current state cause it's outdated.
Wait for KRYLFILTER or use SUPERMIKE src and fix the latest exploits.
Question about improve game speed/prevent lag
Keep your SRO_VT_LOG _AddLogChar and _AddLogItem producers as clean coded as possible, if you want to add special **** make sure the coding is properly made and do not use way to much SQL queries without BEGIN AND END's.
My last words here
No released files are "good", some may be worked on from different kind of people and most files that edited and not clean have bugs that is really hard to fix since you will have no idea where the bug is located on most occasions.

I am very busy now a days but if you have future questions you may ask them on private message here on Elitepvpers, I do not want more people on my Skype it's just way to annoying.

Hello look at thread  . Very good stable exploit protection with Ddos protection(HyperFilter) it have free usage up to 100 players.
About server configuration i recommended minimum of 12GB ram for start (beta stage etc.) When you got more players you must rise to at least 16GB. I also recommended if you wana have high rate server disable not needed regions like Jangan cave. And lower monster coun in Dowhang cave. So youre server can run easy with 1 server machine. Sience server files are old you dont need strong CPU any 4 core could be enought.
You also dont forget strong internet connection. For 1000 players you need 1Gb/s up/down link to smooth gameplay.

Hyperfilter will not work good for Asian region.
100/100 is enough for 1k players, if you do not know anything about networking you shouldn't mention it.
Also " disable not needed regions like Jangan cave", is wrong.
He should rather lower monsters in Jangan, Dowhang, Constantinople, Samarkand.
And also lower jangan cave to successfully run all regions on 1 gameserver.
