[POLL] Old game style

There is a very experienced team behind this idea.

As we know the old files have many exploits, thats the main reason why there are no servers running behind those files.
We have the time and resource to fix all of them and bring back those times.

There are some disadvantages. There is no Fortress War, no european, academy... but the old pvp system with cape, simple interface, real triangular conflict and much more.

Im sure there are many similar polls around, but we are taking it seriously.
We can do a perfect working server, starting from cap 80, using the old files from ecsro and with no exploits or bugs.

Because takes a while, we left sro time ago and now came with this idea.
Is not that hard with a packet filter if you already know the exploits and how to do them.

Im not talking about another trash server, i know everyone says it but im aware of that.

We are not asking if you would play it, we just want to know if you think is a good idea.
Im sure we are the right people to do so, could give names but that wouldnt change a ****.

Ye but that's not the only problem with the old files. They are just unstable. Even if you fixed the exploits you don't know what you may encounter once you run the server.

The files are working correctly, everything inside is working as it should be, the only problem that we face now are the exploits, and with this method we can fix them along new ones.

Can you tell me how did the testing process go?
How long and with how many players?

They have been tested many times, we are not talking about hidden private files, they are common ones from ecsro or swsro.

We did some tests years ago, and now that we have more info about and our custom packet filter it should be possible

You won't get many things to work with. Sure you might get players in the begenning, but the lack of things to do such as FW or ctf etc... will make you loose players very fast
