Creating/Hosting a PSRO server questions..

Im looking into hosting a private server currently. I think secruty is a massive thing within the community on a private server and i have opted to get a company to host my server. Atleast i should be safe from DDoS attacks and whatever else people want to throw at it!

My question is what kind of server would i need suitable enough to host a lag-free client?

Aiming for 500 max capacity server for future growth. (If it ever gets that busy!)

Now virtual, or dedicated. Here is 2 examples of servers i am looking at currently.

Virtual;

Now i would prefer the virtual as its cheaper. But, the lag or choppy gameplay is what i want to avoid.

Any suggestions would be great.

well it depends on how much you want to spend on it a month and what your actual goals are , as for me my server is a dedicated server and it has has 96 gig ram 3 TB hard drive with unlimited bandwidth and a 500 gig backup and i pay about $100.00 a month for it and it can host 5000 + although my server is a private server and only host me , my friends and family others do join and play as well and i dont count on ever making any money off of it you have to decide how much you are willing to pay a month "EVERY" month if the server never makes a dime so really Dedicated is 100 times better in the end you really only get what you pay for .
