Cant Restore/Attach Database!

Hello,
i got new client/database from my friend to edit it
any database i got before was (file.bak) this database type (file)
so my SQL cant restore it, is there any idea about how to change it to .bak!

Enable the extensions from " Folder and search options " and re-name it to .bak file.

i enabled that, but there is 2 things,
1st, i cant Enable DEP on pc although i wrote bcdedit /set {current} nx AlwaysOn on cmd and restarted, its still Disabled idk why!
2nd, u cant rename Type: file to Type: file.bak!

For **** sake, you cant change the file type by enabling the extensions? and seriously you want to start runnin your own server?

No offense, but you still can't manage to modify it yourself. After you enable the goddam extensions press on rename and modify the whole ******* name to DATABASENAME.bak and press enter.

If you can't do it, send me your database files and i'll modify them to you.

Fixed:
-That kind of database dont work with SQL2008, u need SQL2012.

Your stupidity has led you to understand it the dumbest way .

I meant, Rename your database to > YOUR_DATABASE_NAME.bak. As example if your shard account. then the database name should be> SRO_VT_SHARD.bak Or whatever your database name.

And as far as i remember you were complaining about restoring your database file to your sql server which is impossible without being .bak file.
