-no more alchemy farming
-players will build their set based on their skills/play time not on their luck/$
So gold will be useless? Pretty much since you don't have to buy 10k elixirs and bash you head against the keyboard everytime you fail.
But you could put in shops some kind of elements which can be used to grant your items a certain skin.
You can also add certain scrools like parry/attack rate/1-3% hp increase etc.
-Put last tier items hard to get and don't add SoX set/accs(only wep) cause who the hell wants to farm items all day long.
That would be all for now. I don't really search for a server cause pretty much all of them are a disgrace and are run by a herd of money hungry cockroaches that masquerade themselves as "oldschool" or "playtowin" but I just felt like I had to lay out my vision of a good sro pserver.

Numerous people asking me for ventures skill balance since they want to implement it themselves, only positive feedback all around, yeah I guess the balance was shit huh?

Coin system eliminates RNG and allows a person work towards a goal, just because everyone else implements it in a retarded manner doesnt mean its bad.
No sox? How many minutes before his players start complaining that theres no "endgame"? I can join his server, play for a day and I'll be maxed. You can have special weapons without them being overpowered, and if your server is designed so that botters have an advantage over legits then you shouldnt even bother launching it.
Gold being useless. Lets eliminate currency/progress/competition/trading/pvp from the game, yeah, splendid idea.
inb4 hurr durr but guldboturs.
Every single one of these ideas are greatly overcomplicated, unnecessary and delusional. Every problem that you indirectly pointed out in this post can be fixed incredibly easily within the core game mechanics (how its supposed to be done).
Alchemy farming, oversaturating economy with elixirs, goldbotting. All eliminated with simple, proper game design.

If the sro will be like rayto100 wrote... than sorry, but its not sro for me. For me every game is about luck and working hard... cuz whats the point of getting everything if you dont have to worry about losing it (I mean alchemy).... what`s the point of coin system, if it will be abused anyway... i mean ctf, B.A and so on.... You can eliminate botting, but than you will get urself in new troubles... also.... the game has an end story... Try to defeat medusa. I`ve never seen any point of special sox items and so on, when the game was designed to be based 50% on luck and other 50% in hard work... By removing the luck factor your removing the meaning of "game". Your making it to be something to nolife just to be better than everyone else... If you get silks by donating and for reasonable prices than games economy will be ok... If you will leave rates as low as possible than you will have to work hard to get maxed out. At 95 and lv 100 you can do quests to get new zerk and titel... Also Balancing cr*p.... Wizards are O.P in dmg, but weak at defence.... warriors are great at defence, but weak at dmg.... EU race was made to be the kind of race, where you would have to work together to get higher and revive partying. CHN has always been mix or in the middle somewhere.... It has an ok dmg and ok defence. Anyway, what im trying to say is that.... By editing skills defence powers and damage powers you will take away the point of this game.... which is teamwork.... By taking away alchemy and the point of PvE and sox items your removing another important factor in the game - Luck. SRO is like free-market economy, if you got it in you and with a bit of luck, you can be someone.... but you wanna make the game like the economy was at communistic countrys. They said everyone were equal, but some people were more equal than the others.

Well, I will balance the wiz / warrior enough to be the same as blader / nuker.
And by the way, i will not remove alchemy what so ever. its fucking important in the gameplay itself! all I want at the moment is just like some good lists to be applied with specified reasons to apply. nth more, nth less. and I may write the progress within days here in this thread.

Umm.... Just make take away about 10% of the screens defence and about 5% lc/lt dmg... leave the cleric as it is apart from the black ress.... That you can remove totally  Clerics have already 2 ress skills so.... Also... Dont add that auto equipment thing... Makes the game abit boring. Also... if you can`t do w/o balancing... than remove ds and as or bring it down from 5% to 10% or so. Other things would be pandoras  oh how i loved the pandoras, there could be event, where you get trophys from mobs and for reward you could get pandoras or monster scrolls  or those earth ghost masks that were in isro :P everything else should be as it is.... If you want an example of great server (well it was) is LSRO Arcadia... it was perfect untill they added silk/h and some other updates. At first it was great and it had about 500-600 players, cuz everyone loved it. AND ALSO Everyones b*tching about legit gameplay and so on, but lets be honest... everyones botting or cheating the game in one way or the other, no1`s saint. At one point you`ve all cheated so stfu and stop making urselvs one of those innocent people who have never botted or cheated or done something to gain an advantage over the others.

I will admit that you raised some nice points there. Still, those suggestions were raw material, I just thought they were worth mentioning.
I will come back with a more appropriate and realistic list of suggestions.
One thing I don't agree with you though. Your balance system was pretty screwed and you know it. Moreover, you dam.n well know that alot of people complained about it, I was there after all.
Your solution for "balance" was to tweak the % of euro CC (stun/kb/kd) and increase/decrease the DMG. And while I agree that increasing/decreasing some skills DMG has a huge potential if done properly since it forces people to find new and ingenious combos, the tweaking of CC was a total disaster.
I pointed out to you that you turned warriors into a buttonsmash and your only response was "now you can't KB 24/7". And while you were right to some extent, you forgot the fact that the entire warrior build was reduced to nothing more than a luck based build where you had to cross your fingers everytime you wanted to perform a combo.
I remember one time I was pvping an archer and I literally spawned all my CC on him and nothing, leaving me barely alive with 0 MP since I had to heal while all that guy was doing was press 1234.
So I give you that your balance was a nice try. But it was nowhere near good.
I will give my own version of balance for EU, hope you can point out the flaws there too.

for the old school community of epvp (2008-2010), what we liked was:
15-30x rates exp/sp
the guild/academy penalty removal
alchemy rates same as isro
sox rates slightly higher
a slight balance for the skin skills for warrior
a slight balance for the cleric skills
personally; id remove the silk per hour **** as well, and id make the item mall items available in npcs with gold (if you have no intention of making money from the server)
if you have intention of making money, just add the make a donate button, and make a special buff for donators giving them extra exp/sp or something similar. for now thats all i can think of, but honestly just don't add stupid edits like ultra mega uber spear or custom skills or whatever they call them these days.

Totally agree with you apart from exp rate  it should be 1-5x so you would have to play for atleast a month or two to get maxed out.... Also silks for €/$ is great, cuz as it has proved.... people who are too lazy to farm gold or do some trades and so on can sell silk items and other who are a bit more active can buy those.... everyone wins and also servers economy wont be ****** up... But gold rate should be 1 and trade rate same as exp rate... Only silk items i would make for gold are trade pets  or make them gainable by earning trophys from mobs or ctf or whatever... Just to make it intresting...

Ive done every shit you've mentioned except for the exp rate, it will be 2~4x only.

The trade rate would be 20x or so. since the regular 1 million trade is useless anyway. but I can confirm you that the exp rate will be 2~4x or so.
