Packet injection bots can be stopped just be stopped be preventing hooks.
Autoselect Bots are probably only ones that would work, but we have other ways of stopping them.

Pixel bots, they sound lame itself, but if you put a lot of work in such a bot, it can be as equal as a packet bot, and there is absolutely no way to stop it.

pixel bots would only really work well with UI based stuff, it wouldnt be able to attack as it wouldnt know where the monster is located, which packet bots recieve data on their position.

So most bots need to hook to work.

Regarding bots...Well...Bots have always been stupid . They were meant to be flawed by one simple thing , lack of communication. The persistant lack of this small thing blows the cover of the bot.
Also , the way it walks around (im talking about keypressers) it can be very easily found , simply because a keypresser moves from a mob to another like 4-5 times because of the aproximately equal distance , i think if you see a character move from a monster to another 2 times we can clearly say its a bot and it can be banned right?
(Some idiots might be asking <A human person can move from a monster to the other too right?> yes but a human person has the awesome super special abilty to talk and make its presence noticed .)Anyways , all i want to say is , bots can be stopped , very , VERY easily.Even severe punishments can help (im talking about the IP ban).

Its a grindfest from korea, if you know some others mmorpgs silkroad alike you can notice that they have bots. Autoselect its a proof of that.
I dont mean a full cool bot, loop, loot and ****, but a simple macro lawl

There is no good anti hack shield on the whole INTERNET that can't be bypassed for hooking, and when it comes to attacking, you could set the bot to read coordinates offsets directly from the game client, and if the cannot attack due to obstacle message appears, you could force the bot to go 10 coordinates back, there are just so many ways to make a bot, and there is absolutely no way to make a perfect hack shield versus bots.
Yet, if you claim you can and will make one, you can seriously earn a couple of GRANDS if you make one for a particular game and if it proves efficient, u'll get a lot of $ for it.
And for the pixel bots and good UI ur talking about, I can even change mobs color in Cheat Engine, without editing media.pk for it, I can make a Manyang turn from yellow to completely 4pixel colored green color, and also change the background to white, black, any color I want.

gl with the project =) and remember silkroad should have been about unique hunting, jobbing, and pvping, not grinding =) just something to think about once u start getting into the logistical aspects like rates, skills, caps etc.
